Story
Oh my ears!!! Meet the cutest little girl this side of the Mississippi! Meet Poptart! With ears that fold like those old-school fortune teller paper games from elementary school, sometimes resembling delicate little praying mantis hands, Poptart is impossible not to fall in love with at first glance. She’s the kind of pup who warms up gently, but once she feels safe, her soft heart shines through in the sweetest ways. Treats and booty scratches are the keys to her affection, and she’ll quietly inch her way over for both, never demanding, always patient with those puppy eyes in full effect. Even though she is young, she has the best docile demeanor. She isn’t pushy for affection or attention and just waits patiently to be adorned on.She’s a perfect little princess and will make her new family so incredibly happy! We believe that Poptart is a Border Collie mix of some sort around 1 year old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. She is a petite little thing that has the softest coat and most gentle kisses. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. But that’s what makes rescue so fun! It’s so rewarding to adopt a dog and give them a life they could only dream of! Check out Poptart here: https://youtu.be/Lj451VHtil0 Poptart has lived with an 8-year-old child and their bond is something special. She followed her everywhere, always wanting to be nearby, proving that she’d make a wonderful family dog! Especially in a home with gentle, dog-savvy kids. With other dogs, she prefers to observe rather than dive into the action right away. In the yard, she was a little shy with our resident pups. The pushy ones made her a bit uncomfortable when they would run up hot and heavy to her face, so she would gently move out the way so they could play. She was more of an observer than a participator. But at her foster home, she thrives in doggy daycare where she is comfortable with all the puppy friends. So she will just need some time to warm up to her environment. A home with a medium-energy dog who respects her pace would be the perfect match to help her continue growing into her confidence. Cats are very intriguing to Poptart and it would be best if she was in a kitten free environment! She’s incredibly smart and very treat motivated, already showing off her skills like a pro and sure to pick up more with ease. In the video you can see her already mastering her sit! Whether you’re looking for a companion to train, travel with, or simply sip coffee next to on a sunny patio, Poptart is your girl. She is calm and composed during car rides, perfectly content in her crate, and simply a joy to be around! She would do well in a home or in an apartment. She just needs a person to love her. There’s something beautifully charming about Poptart. She doesn’t ask for the spotlight, but she has a way of stealing your heart just by being near. She’s ready to find the family who will help her feel safe, loved, and appreciated! Does Poptart sound like your future bestie? Story
Cooper is a 6 year old Border Collie Australian shepherd mix, he is the best sweetest dog, we got him as a puppy. So good with kids, loves riding in the car, and playing basketball! We just don't have time to give him the time and attention he needs. We also have a 4 year old female border collie mix, if you are open to having them both so they could stay together, but ultimately if they are separated we just want the best for them!

These pups are in Provo, Utah too!

Story
Rocket is an energetic 2 year old blue heeler. He was a rescue dog. Rocket loves walks and playing fetch, and just being outdoors in general. He needs to be in a house with no other dogs or cats as he is just a 1 animal household type of dog. He tends to herd our dogs. Rocket doesn’t like strangers. He needs some training. Rocket is potty trained and a perfect friend to have. A home with a big yard would be ideal. We are heartbroken to find a new home for Rocket but we aren’t home enough to spend the time outside he needs. Please make sure you know about this breed. She is great with our family but not others. It will take training and adjusting to earn Rockets love. Crate included.

Story
Let me introduce you to the warm soul we call George, He has a comforting presence. George can come off a little reserved at first, but that’s just because he’s not the type to push for attention. He’s the quiet kind—like a best friend who’s always there, steady and grounding. George has all the traits of a loyal, loving dog and he is ready to find himself at home. What stands out most about George is how easy his company is. He’s slow and steady across the board—whether he’s meeting new people, walking on leash, hanging with other dogs, or encountering a cat.. Based on his look and temperament, we think he may be a Kelpie/Shepherd mix, estimated to be around 4 years old, and he weighs 50 lbs. As with any rescue, we can’t say with total certainty on age or breed, but he is fully-grown size so we can testify to how perfectly midsize he is. George is so fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home while he waits for his adoption day and this not only gives us a front-row account to hi personality but he also gets to learn and master the best house manners while he waits. His foster has praised George for how well he rides in the car- laying in the back peacefully, only perking up once they have arrived. He is also both house and crate trained! We loooove that! George lives with both cats and dogs in his foster home and he gets along well with them all. We spent an afternoon with George outside of his foster home to get a feel of his play style and approach to new dogs along with observing him meet a new cat. The first thing that jumped out was just how politely George meets new dogs on-leash. He showed a little excitement when he saw the first dog, it was contained but obvious, he was happy to meet a possible playmate. With each additional dog the approach was the same, neutral and calm. Although he never found the perfect playmate to really let loose, he was easy company and is dog-friendly. The most natural pairing was with a female, similar age to him, with a sense of confidence and bouts of playfullness. If going into a home with another dog, that would be almost exactly the type of dog he would be best with. Dogs like George, who come across as reserved, are often naturally independent, confident and content with their own company. Another quality we love! Even though we know George lives with cats we love to see a dog in a new environment, meeting a new cat to get a grasp on what that could look like once he is arriving in a new home. He was introduced on leash and he was curious but respectful and calm. As the cat got more animated and jumpy playing with a toy, George definitely thought it was an invitation to play. He obviously can live peacefully with cats but we all know, cat personalities are a variable. If joining a house with a cat(s), it would be best if they were dog savvy. He will respect a swat and may need one to mind a boundary. George would do great in a home with a yard, if for no other reason than his simple joy of laying in the shade on a patch of green grass. It is heaven to watch! He has great basic leash skills with a nice pace but a hectic, busy environment might throw off his vibes. Basically, the busy environment of elevators and lobby are not for him. He could do it, but we can see he isn’t much of a busy city guy. The same goes for family-life, he could do it but he has really been spoiled by a foster home with the occasional 20 something year old kid coming by to do laundry. In other words, empty-nester? Not with George! He is ready to fill your time with good company! Invite this boy home to peaceful place and a patch of grass, with a doggie friend and a cool cat and George will be there to take it all in—his pace and by your side! If you’ve got room in your life for a gentle heart and a quiet companion, George is ready to bring calm, sweetness, and unwavering loyalty into your world. Questions? Story
Nova is an eye-catching dog. Somewhere between her smile, her brindle/spotted combo coat, and her expressive ears she grabs you and pulls you right in and the best part is she is as beautiful as she is sweet! She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t demand you pay attention to her but soaks up every bit of it when you do. Ill share the double whammy, the one-two combo… its belly rubs and baby talk. You’ll know you are doing it right because her tail won’t hide the happiness. Nova is estimated to be 1.5 years old and she weighs 41 lbs, a bit of a Goldilocks size- not too small, not too big, just right! Given Nova is a rescue we cannot guarantee age or breed but we believe she may be a cattle dog/pittie mix. Take a look for yourself- you’ll see where we get that from pretty easily. Nova is so lucky and is being fostered in a loving home while she waits for her adoption day. Her foster family has shared such positive feedback on her we say she is pretty much move-in ready. She’s house- and crate-trained, has excellent manners at home, and currently lives with kids (ages 9, 10, and 13), fitting in seamlessly with family life. Nova is also dog-friendly but isn’t going to be out trying to make friends with every passing dog. She likes to take it slow and once she has got to know them a bit, she warms up and plays well. The afternoon we spent with her she met a handful of other dogs and got along well with them all but had a great match with a medium-energy male who matched her vibe without overwhelming her. We also introduced her to our house cat and she was eager to meet him but was cautious and polite. I was impressed by how easily she could walk away from him and share space without being overly concerned about where he was. Turns out I had somehow missed that he lives with a cat in his foster home! So no shock knowing that along with seeing her meet a new cat, Nova is cat-tolerant! One area where Nova is practicing daily to improve on is her leash skills. She has the basics down but sometimes can’t decide which side she wants to walk on. Barely a problem in out book but definitely a detail that can be addressed to make walking her a bit easier and less “hazardous” lol, but she’s eager to please and very responsive to gentle handling. Her foster family shared she is quiet, not much of a barker, so we believe with the right balance of mental and physical stimulation, she could absolutely thrive in an apartment. Nova’s not high-maintenance. She’s the kind of dog who’s happy to hang out, go on a good walk, and be part of your day. We could see her being an awesome hiking pal, walking partner, and/or your laid-back road trip co-pilot. She doesn’t need anything wild though, just someone looking for a dependable companion who doesn’t need to be the center of attention but loves to be part of your crew. Nova is ready to be your best friend for it all. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
