🐾🌼 MEET LAYLA, OUR VERY OWN LASSIE 🌼🐾
If you grew up dreaming of a Collie like Lassie, Layla may be exactly who you have been waiting for. 💛
Layla is a beautiful 7 year old Collie who is affectionate, gentle, social, beautifully mannered, and incredibly attuned to the emotions of the people around her.
She seems to know when someone needs comfort. If you are upset, Layla is the kind of girl who comes close, offers cuddles, and stays beside you. She loves curling up on the couch with her people and would make a wonderful emotional support companion for someone looking for that deeply connected Collie bond. ❤️
And yes, Layla could absolutely be the dog who goes to the office with you every day. She has excellent manners, enjoys being with people, and would be perfectly happy being your companion at home, at work, or wherever the day takes you. 👜🐾
Layla has received wonderful veterinary care throughout her life. She is healthy, has no mobility issues, is up to date on her vaccinations, and has already had her dental completed.
👧🐱🐶 Layla is wonderful with children, cats, dogs, and caged birds. She is comfortable around animals of all sizes. She may chase rabbits, gerbils, or similar small prey animals if they are loose, so those pets would need to be safely separated.
🐶 A companion dog in the home is required.
A working adult household is absolutely fine. Layla does not need someone home all day, but she does need another dog for companionship.
For an actual playmate, the resident dog should ideally be at least Sheltie sized so they can comfortably enjoy playing together.
🌳 A fully fenced yard is required.
🚫 Layla needs a crate free home.
⚠️ Mobility equipment makes Layla nervous, so she needs a home where walkers, canes, wheelchairs, oxygen equipment, or similar equipment are not routinely used or anticipated during her lifetime.
⚡ Bug zappers terrify her, so her new home cannot use them.
✂️ Layla is wonderful for the groomer and accustomed to proper Collie coat care. A grooming reference is a plus.

🚗 We are primarily looking for an adopter who lives within approximately 3 hours of Hampton Roads, Virginia.

She is one of those special Collies who does more than simply live beside you. She connects with you. She notices your emotions, gives comfort when you need it, curls up beside you on the couch, and would just as happily accompany you to the office and spend the day being your perfectly mannered sidekick. 🥹💛
