In November 2024, Firestarter was discovered at a dump site in rural Alabama with heavy chains and metal rods cuffed to her leg. She was terrified of everything and everyone. Over time and thanks to her foster’s patient care, she learned to trust again. Firestarter has grown into a charming extrovert who loves the company of people and other dogs. She gets along with cats too—as long as they don’t mind her playful nature! Although she’s an active girl with an adventurous spirit, she’s exceptionally well-behaved and mellow at home once she has had her daily walks. Firestarter is fostered in Ridgefield, CT, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet her.
