Story
Meet Honey & Rex — a sweet sibling duo looking for the forever home they deserve Honey and Rex were sadly dumped in a backyard before making their way safely into our rescue. Despite their rough start, these adorable pups are learning what love and security feel like. They may be a little shy at first, but once they know they’re safe, their loving personalities truly shine. These two would thrive in a home where they can be spoiled, cuddled, and treated like family. They are doggie door trained, crate trained, and incredibly gentle. They get along great with the other dogs in their foster home and happily leave the cats alone. While their foster does not currently have children, they are extremely friendly and we believe they would do well with respectful kids. Honey and Rex are ready for a fresh start and a family to call their own ❤️ *They do not need to be adopted together*   May 24, 2026, 7:39 pm

Story
Hi there! My name’s Nick—yes, like “Saint Nick,” though I am more tail wags than toy bags. I am about 20-25 pounds of love, fluff, and mystery lineage. Think labrador charm with the build of a corgi on casual Friday. Me and my brother Skipper were recently surrendered to the pound by our previous owner. The people here at Central Arizona Animal Rescue do not know why they did that to us. I am learning how to get along without my brother and to tell the truth, it is a little scary without him, but if I am ever going to find a cozy corner in someone's heart to call my own I will need to do that by myself. Here is the thing: I did not grow up around many people, so I am what they call “a little shy.” But give me a minute (and maybe a piece of cheese?), and I will be following you around like we have been besties since belly rubs were invented. Cameras freak me out—I know, I know, I am cute, but I prefer to be admired in real life rather so I made it hard for the folks here to get really great photos of me. A few facts about me: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped—basically ready for a lifetime commitment I get along well with other dogs so if you have another dog that would be awesome!  House-trained? Probably but I might need a little refresher training when I get to my new home.  You might ask, what about cats?  Well, that is unknown territory, but I am open to negotiations. My previous owners did not leave any clues and there are none here at the rescue to really be able to find out with. If you have got patience, a comfy couch, and a pocket full of treats, I have got love, loyalty, and some very expressive ears to offer. Wanna meet me? Email mike@caaronline.org to set up a date—I promise to be awkwardly adorable..  With hopeful paws we will meet soon   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption. Story
Meet Sancho  This adorable 1-year-old/20lb corgi mix is sweet, gentle, and eager to trust. Sancho is the total package — he’s great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy addition to many types of homes. He is kennel trained, housebroken, leash trained, and loves spending time with his people. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, relaxing on the couch, or tagging along on adventures, Sancho is happiest just being near those he loves. While he is friendly and affectionate, Sancho can be a little unsure in new situations at first, so he will need a patient family willing to give him time to build confidence and feel safe in his new environment. Once he settles in, his fun-loving and loyal personality truly shines. He came to rescue with a wound to his backend, but it is completely healed, and fur is expected to grow back fully.  Sancho is looking for a family that will show him the kindness and stability he deserves — and in return, he’ll be the most devoted companion you could ask for.        All Cooper’s Chance adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, de-wormed, micro chipped and housebroken. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please visit our website at cooperschance.org for additional information. We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.May 23, 2026, 5:21 pm

Story
Meet Lyla and Levi – two little low riders with big personalities and an even bigger bond. These two are a package deal, full of love, and forever side by side. Approximately 6 mos . These little cuties are Corgi mixes. Lyla is fifteen pounds, tri- colored- black, brown, and white, and the leader. Levi is seventeen pounds and looks like a cream mini–Lab on short legs. Together they are a perfect little duo you did not know you needed. These puppies are so fun and well behaved. The puppies are mellow, loving, sweet and not the least bit nippy. They move into your heart and home and fit perfectly. They roll with the flow. They adore all dogs, people, and kids. Instantly everybody they meet is a new best friend. They are both social butterflies and irresistible. Lyla and Levi’s new family will need to have a secure yard with a block wall to keep them safe and secure. They like to explore and play outside. If your family has another dog or dogs, they will be very happy to join their pak. The puppies are potty trained as long as kept on a schedule and taken out every couple of hours. They sleep through the night cuddled together and great little eaters. Since young, they are having three meals a day and love their food and treats. Due to their short stubby legs Lyla and Levi are not built for swimming. They will need to be supervised around pools and water. They would not be able to get out on their own. Lyla and Levi are perfect ready-made family additions. They are double love, double fun, and double happiness. These adorable built in best friends are waiting to be part of your family.
