Story
Available for Adoption – Darren!  Darren is on the search for his forever home! This happy, energetic, and fun-loving guy has a personality that’s larger than life. His goofy antics and playful spirit are sure to keep his family laughing and smiling every day. While Darren has plenty of energy, he is also great at entertaining himself with toys or spending time exploring and playing in the backyard. He is kind, affectionate, loves to give kisses and enjoys cuddling with his family He requires a home with a fenced yard and would especially love a family that enjoys outdoor adventures. Beneath his playful nature is a sweet, gentle soul who is eager to learn and loves making his people happy. Darren has a slightly deformed tail, which was either present from birth or is the result of an old injury that healed on its own. A veterinary examination confirmed that he is healthy, comfortable, and requires nothing further. Beneath his playful nature is a sweet, gentle soul who is eager to learn and loves making his people happy. Darren is crate trained, potty trained in his foster home, and leash trained. He does well with children however he is dog selective and would rather be an only dog or the Alpha. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to join your adventures and fill your home with laughter, Darren may be the perfect match! He has had 2 vet visits, is neutered, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal tests. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. Story
Meet Lyla and Levi – two little low riders with big personalities and an even bigger bond. These two are a package deal, full of love, and forever side by side. Approximately 10 mos old, These little cuties are Corgi mixes. Lyla is 20 pounds, tri- colored- black, brown, and white, and the leader. Levi is 22 pounds and looks like a cream mini–Lab on short legs. Together they are a perfect little duo you did not know you needed. These puppies are so fun and well behaved. The puppies are mellow, loving, sweet and not the least bit nippy. They move into heart and home and fit perfectly. They roll with the flow. They adore all dogs, people, and kids. Instantly everybody they meet is a new best friend. They are both social butterflies and irresistible. Lyla and Levi’s new family will need to have a secure yard with a block wall to keep them safe and secure. They like to explore and play outside. If your family has another dog or dogs, they will be very happy to join their pak. The puppies are potty trained .. They sleep through the night cuddled together and great little eaters. Since young, they love their food and treats. Due to their short stubby legs Lyla and Levi are not built for swimming. They will need to be supervised around pools and water. They would not be able to get out on their own. Lyla and Levi are perfect ready-made family additions. They are double love, double fun, and double happiness. These adorable built in best friends are waiting to be part of your family. They are available at luvofdogzfund.org/adopt

Story
This sweet little angel has been with me since she was 8 weeks old. She's 3 years old now. My schedule has become so busy I'm not able to give her the attention she deserves. She's house-trained and does well with other dogs in house. She's a bit of a cat chaser, but with training she would stop. Very smart and responsive with training and time. She's actually the sweetest little thing and I'm so sad to have to re-home her. She's half Pembroke Welsh Corgi and half Shiba Inu. Her parents are pure bred. Spayed, chipped, and shots up to date. Reach out with any questions.

Story
Stumpy is male, neutered, and turns 7 yrs old in October. He is very friendly, relaxed dog and basically never barks. He mostly just lays around the house. He only barks if another dog is being confrontational, or if he sees a rabbit or duck he wants to chase. I took him to the dog parks a lot and he gets along well with other dogs. Sometimes he'll growl at male un-neutered dogs, but once he's around them for a while, he's fine with them. I believe he's allergic to chicken. Never had him tested, but whenever I fed him anything with chicken in it, his stool was very wet. And whenever I stopped feeding him anything with chicken in it, his stool was more solid.I found Stumpy as a stray dog in May 2025. After having him for a year, I've just become busy and realized that I'm not giving him the attention he deserves. He's really easy to take care of, but even so, I've just realized I'd be happier without a dog. I hope his next home is super loving. Maybe with another dog to keep him company.

Story
Hi there! My name’s Nick—yes, like “Saint Nick,” though I am more tail wags than toy bags. I am about 20-25 pounds of love, fluff, and mystery lineage. Think labrador charm with the build of a corgi on casual Friday. Me and my brother Skipper were recently surrendered to the pound by our previous owner. The people here at Central Arizona Animal Rescue do not know why they did that to us. I am learning how to get along without my brother and to tell the truth, it is a little scary without him, but if I am ever going to find a cozy corner in someone's heart to call my own I will need to do that by myself. Here is the thing: I did not grow up around many people, so I am what they call “a little shy.” But give me a minute (and maybe a piece of cheese?), and I will be following you around like we have been besties since belly rubs were invented. Cameras freak me out—I know, I know, I am cute, but I prefer to be admired in real life rather so I made it hard for the folks here to get really great photos of me. A few facts about me: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped—basically ready for a lifetime commitment I get along well with other dogs so if you have another dog that would be awesome!  House-trained? Probably but I might need a little refresher training when I get to my new home.  You might ask, what about cats?  Well, that is unknown territory, but I am open to negotiations. My previous owners did not leave any clues and there are none here at the rescue to really be able to find out with. If you have got patience, a comfy couch, and a pocket full of treats, I have got love, loyalty, and some very expressive ears to offer. Wanna meet me? Email mike@caaronline.org to set up a date—I promise to be awkwardly adorable..  With hopeful paws we will meet soon   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption.
