Story
Sweet little Gwen, at only 1 1/2, was set to be euthanized for being scared. This sweet Corgi mix is a perfect size at about 27 lbs. Slowly, with patience, she is blossoming into a joyful and confident girl. Despite her great fear, she has shown no aggression. The grass she was afraid to walk on is now her playground. She has learned to use the doggy door and comes and goes outside all through the day. She needs a bit of time when experiencing something new but amazes us at how fast she learns. She is house-trained and walks well on a leash. She struggled at first in the kennel alone, but does well now. Gwen will bark when new people come over, but warms up quickly. She has gotten along well with the 18 pound terrier and 50 pound doodle she lives with. She has not been around cats, but doesn't react to them on walks. She would love another dog in her new home, but would be fine as an only dog. The greatest desire she has is to be loved and to be with her family. She is a wonderful mix of playfulness and a couch potato. She would prefer a home where she can snuggle next to you on the couch. Bailey will thrive in a home that understands she is still young and needing more training. She still gets nervous and needs someone who will work with her. She is as sweet and fun as they come and will make an incredible companion. Story
Sneak peek Meet Lyla and Levi – two little low riders with big personalities and an even bigger bond. These two are a package deal, full of love, and forever side by side. Approximately five and half months old. These little cuties are Corgi mixes. Lyla is fifteen pounds, tri- colored- black, brown, and white, and the leader. Levi is seventeen pounds and looks like a cream mini–Lab on short legs. Together they are a perfect little duo you did not know you needed. These puppies are so fun and well behaved. The puppies are mellow, loving, sweet and not the least bit nippy. They move into your heart and home and fit perfectly. They roll with the flow. They adore all dogs, people, and kids. Instantly everybody they meet is a new best friend. They are both social butterflies and irresistible. Lyla and Levi’s new family will need to have a secure yard with a block wall to keep them safe and secure. They like to explore and play outside. If your family has another dog or dogs, they will be very happy to join their pak. The puppies are potty trained as long as kept on a schedule and taken out every couple of hours. They sleep through the night cuddled together and great little eaters. Since young, they are having three meals a day and love their food and treats. Due to their short stubby legs Lyla and Levi are not built for swimming. They will need to be supervised around pools and water. They would not be able to get out on their own. Lyla and Levi are perfect ready-made family additions. They are double love, double fun, and double happiness. These adorable built in best friends are waiting to be part of your family. If you would like to meet them when they are ready, please email us at luvofdogzfund@aol.com

Story
Poor little Odin needs a break! This handsome young man was found roaming the streets and was brought in to animal control. We pulled him out of the shelter. Now he has been fully vetted and is looking for his forever home. A bit of bad news, though. Odin is heart worm positive. He will need a nice calm place to begin his recovery, but the vet feels that he should be back to 100% in no time. Well, not actually no time. Recovering from heartworm takes a while, but because the infection doesn't seem to be too advanced, we're hoping it won't take too long.
