Story
This is Maple! We acquired her from our local fire department! Maple was a stray that wandered into the fire house. One of the fireman took her in while she was being seen at the vet for getting shots and spayed. We were then lucky enough to meet her and knew she’d be perfect for our family. The vet thinks she is around 2 years old now. Maple is truly the best dog. She is super fun, very energetic, and extremely smart. She also loves to cuddle! She is great with other dogs (we put her in doggy daycare) and fantastic with young children. Unfortunately, our life is progressing fast and we aren’t able to give Maple the attention and time she truly deserves anymore. We are looking for a new home that has plenty of space for her to run around and play (she loves her toys) and owners that will give her the time and attention she deserves. This has been one of the toughest times in our life, but we love her and only want to see her enjoying life to the fullest!

Story
A WONDERFUL GIRL:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi, I’m Wanda! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home! Thankfully, they took me in, and I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I’m now ready to find a family of my very own. I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. Perhaps you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, though I prefer slow introductions. I may let out a few playful growls, and if another dog gets too pushy, I’ll give a gentle correction—if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. I show interest in dogs on walks with my foster, sometimes pulling a little toward them, but am easily redirected. / Cats unknown. / I met a couple of kids at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have kids around 10 years old, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as a playful, super friendly, and energetic girl with a sweet personality and an adorable face to match! The volunteers also report that I’m loving and they think I may be quite the people pleaser because I enjoy being close to my humans and soaking up attention. I was wonderfully relaxed during my bath and even leaned into my bather for extra affection. My foster says I am great for the bath for her too and I even got to do some wading at the lake on a recent hike—so much fun! When I want attention, I have the cutest little whine that’s sure to melt hearts. I have really enjoyed meeting more people with my foster, making fast friends and winning hearts everywhere we go. With my smart, loving nature and happy spirit, I’m ready to be a wonderful companion. / Energy level: 5-7.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a smart girl and I am enjoying the MM training class I attend with my foster. I have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘place’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands and I bet you can teach me even more! I am working on my leash walking as sometimes I still pull a bit when I get excited. Let's do some training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I did alright in my crate at the shelter, but it’s not my favorite place to spend time. I don’t need one in my foster home because I haven’t gotten into anything and I sleep well in my foster’s bed at night. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule. I only had one accident in my foster home on the first day, but have been good ever since. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love affection and enjoy both receiving and giving it! Spending time with my people is one of my favorite things, whether we're cuddling, hanging out, or just enjoying each other's company. I also like toys, treats and having fun with the people around me. I enjoy car rides, wading in the water and walks/hikes less than 4 miles please (that was a long one and I needed a carry after that lol)—so let’s go on some adventures together! / I ran away when my foster tried to dry me with the hair dryer and I’m not a fan of it being used in general. Otherwise, like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga. September 8, 2026, 6:41 am

Story
Our Zazu may not be running a kingdom like his namesake, but he definitely carries himself like he could! Also — much like his animated counterpart — his most noticeable feature is his head… which is approximately three sizes too big for his body. Zazu actually looks a little like a cartoon character, but please don't tell him we said that! Seriously. If there was ever a reason to order a DNA test just out of curiosity, this boy would be it. He’s got the head of a Malinois and the body and legs of a Corgi, which leaves us with a lot of questions and absolutely no answers. So we’ve come up with a few working theories: • If you have sheep (or ducks) that need herding — congratulations, you may have found your guy. • If you’ve always wanted a Malinois but don’t quite have the space for the full-size version — may we present the Mini-Mal™. • Or maybe he’s just a perfectly engineered 30-pound package of personality. Whatever combination created him, it works. Short little Zazu is hilarious, very smart, super social, and comes equipped with a great alert bark in case anyone forgets he’s in charge. When he met the guys for the first time, he made friends with everyone immediately — and we’re pretty sure he already believes he’s head of the class. August 30, 2026, 6:05 pm

Harvey has all the right moves! He wiggles, he squiggles, he prances and dances like a star. Harvey loves attention and will put on his best happy dance to greet you and get you to give him all the scritchies and cuddles his heart desires. This little burst of happy energy needs to be your only fellow. A low-rider, he will fit well into just about any home. We know he looks portable,  but Harvey is not down with being carried.  Est DOB: Sep 2018 * Est weight: 30# * Breed unknown - guess based on looksMarch 7, 2026, 12:01 pm

Story
Lucy is 7 and she is such a sweet girl. We really hate to have to rehome her but our schedule is so busy with having a 4 year old, 1 1/2 year old and a brand new baby. Lucy really loves affection and requires attention we don’t have time to give. She gets anxious if she is left alone for way too long which sometimes we have to do but she is crate trained and house trained and she doesn’t mind staying in a crate for around 5-6 hours at a time but she needs a home where she can have lots of attention and love from her owner who has the time to give it.
