Story
Our Zazu may not be running a kingdom like his namesake, but he definitely carries himself like he could! Also — much like his animated counterpart — his most noticeable feature is his head… which is approximately three sizes too big for his body. Zazu actually looks a little like a cartoon character, but please don't tell him we said that! Seriously. If there was ever a reason to order a DNA test just out of curiosity, this boy would be it. He’s got the head of a Malinois and the body and legs of a Corgi, which leaves us with a lot of questions and absolutely no answers. So we’ve come up with a few working theories: • If you have sheep (or ducks) that need herding — congratulations, you may have found your guy. • If you’ve always wanted a Malinois but don’t quite have the space for the full-size version — may we present the Mini-Mal™. • Or maybe he’s just a perfectly engineered 30-pound package of personality. Whatever combination created him, it works. Short little Zazu is hilarious, very smart, super social, and comes equipped with a great alert bark in case anyone forgets he’s in charge. When he met the guys for the first time, he made friends with everyone immediately — and we’re pretty sure he already believes he’s head of the class. October 6, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
This is Maple! We acquired her from our local fire department! Maple was a stray that wandered into the fire house. One of the fireman took her in while she was being seen at the vet for getting shots and spayed. We were then lucky enough to meet her and knew she’d be perfect for our family. The vet thinks she is around 2 years old now. Maple is truly the best dog. She is super fun, very energetic, and extremely smart. She also loves to cuddle! She is great with other dogs (we put her in doggy daycare) and fantastic with young children. Unfortunately, our life is progressing fast and we aren’t able to give Maple the attention and time she truly deserves anymore. We are looking for a new home that has plenty of space for her to run around and play (she loves her toys) and owners that will give her the time and attention she deserves. This has been one of the toughest times in our life, but we love her and only want to see her enjoying life to the fullest!

Story
Meet Melo Gohan (“Gohan”), an 8-year-old mixed-breed dog looking for a loving new home. Gohan is house-trained, crate-trained, and has a calm, easygoing personality. Most days, he’s happy to lay quietly under my desk while I work or play with a toy nearby. He enjoys being close to his people and loves attention and affection. Gohan is friendly with adults, children, and babies. He has done well around other dogs, including during boarding, though he generally prefers the company of people. His experience with cats is unknown. He can become a little anxious or alert when he hears the doorbell or activity outside, but otherwise he is a very calm and well-behaved dog. This has been a difficult decision, but due to changes in our family’s schedule, we can no longer give Gohan the time and attention he deserves. We are hoping to find him a loving home where he can continue to be a cherished companion.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet Timid Jack Russell/Corgi Seeks Tender-Hearted Mama Toby is an adorable young 20 lb fella with the adventurous spirit and intelligence of a Jack Russell or Corgi. He just lacks their bravery when it comes to people, especially men. Toby can warm up to a gentle and patient woman in just a day, then reward you with forever unconditional love. He’s also more than happy to share his home with dogs, as they offer company, reassurance, and play dates. Could you find a warm place in your heart and home for this special little lad? Toby's ideal home would be with somewhat active (daily walker), adult female(s), an escape-proof set-up, and experience with shy/fearful dogs. Unfortunately, he is too much of a flight risk to go to a high-traffic home or one with children. Age: 2-3 yrs Weight: 20 lbs Temperament: Good with dogs and best suited for adult, female home Training: Housetrained, Crate-trained, Walks Nicely on Leash  Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $350; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
A LOVELY LADY: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 23 lbs. Hi, I'm Kizzy! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a new home. I'm enjoying my time with the nice volunteers who spend time with and take great care of me. Now I hear that I'm ready to find a wonderful family of my very own—where I can love and be loved furever! I hope to meet them very soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and though I wasn't quite ready to play, I also didn't show any aggression, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a sweet, friendly, and loving girl who may be a little scared and unsure at first, but I warm up nicely with some gentle encouragement. I enjoy being talked to and reassured, and once I feel comfortable, I'm happy to snuggle right up with you—I even sat on a volunteer's lap in my room for some cozy cuddle time! After my walk, I happily jumped onto the bench at Mostly Mutts, gave some kisses, and showed my walker what a delightful girl I am. I was also wonderfully well behaved during my bath, patiently sitting through the whole thing like the smart girl I am. I was sweet and friendly during my photo shoot, too, and I'm sure that with a little patience and encouragement, my confidence will continue to grow! / Energy level: 3-5.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer! Check back soon to see what I've learned and let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been pretty good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too.     • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love playing with toys and snuggling with my people! I also enjoy spending time with the nice, gentle volunteers who give me the patience and encouragement I need to feel comfortable. I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we like doing together in our new home! / Cars driving by can scare me, so let's find a nice quiet place to go for walks. Like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I'm a sweet companion looking for a family that will treasure me! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 6, 2026, 6:43 am
