Story
Bailey is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and bond closely with his people. He’s calm and content in a quiet, low-key household and thrives with an owner who can give him consistent, structured attention. Please read carefully: Bailey has resource-guarding tendencies around toys and has bitten before during a possessive moment over a ball. For everyone’s safety, he needs to go to a home with no children (including no regular visiting kids or grandkids) and no other dogs or pets. He would do best with an experienced adult owner who understands and can manage guarding behavior. Outside of this, Bailey is loving, easygoing, and would make a devoted companion for the right person in the right home.

Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. Story
Meet Hollis, a sweet and feisty black-and-white Lab/Corgi mix! Born on April 27, 2026, Hollis is everything you'd expect from a happy puppy--playful, curious, social, and full of energy! She loves to wrestle, romp, and roughhouse with her canine friends and would absolutely thrive with an active family that can keep up with her adventurous spirit. Hollis is currently working on her crate training, and once she's fully vaccinated, she'll begin learning all about potty training. Like any young puppy, she'll need a family committed to continuing her training with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. Her dream home? One with plenty of opportunities for playtime! She'd especially love a family with kids to chase around the backyard, play fetch with, and cuddle up beside after a day full of fun. She enjoys being close to her sister Hadley, so a home with another dog would be ideal. If you're looking for a puppy who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and fill your home with love, Hollis might just be your perfect match! She will be fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped prior to an adoption being finalized. If you're interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.August 10, 2026, 2:34 am

Story
A WONDERFUL GIRL:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi, I’m Wanda! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home! Thankfully, they took me in, and I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I’m now ready to find a family of my very own. I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. Perhaps you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, though I prefer slow introductions. I may let out a few playful growls, and if another dog gets too pushy, I’ll give a gentle correction—if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. I show interest in dogs on walks with my foster, sometimes pulling a little toward them, but am easily redirected. / Cats unknown. / I met a couple of kids at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have kids around 10 years old, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as a playful, super friendly, and energetic girl with a sweet personality and an adorable face to match! The volunteers also report that I’m loving and they think I may be quite the people pleaser because I enjoy being close to my humans and soaking up attention. I was wonderfully relaxed during my bath and even leaned into my bather for extra affection. My foster says I am great for the bath for her too and I even got to do some wading at the lake on a recent hike—so much fun! When I want attention, I have the cutest little whine that’s sure to melt hearts. I have really enjoyed meeting more people with my foster, making fast friends and winning hearts everywhere we go. With my smart, loving nature and happy spirit, I’m ready to be a wonderful companion. / Energy level: 5-7.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a smart girl and I am enjoying the MM training class I attend with my foster. I have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘place’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands and I bet you can teach me even more! I am working on my leash walking as sometimes I still pull a bit when I get excited. Let's do some training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I did alright in my crate at the shelter, but it’s not my favorite place to spend time. I don’t need one in my foster home because I haven’t gotten into anything and I sleep well in my foster’s bed at night. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule. I only had one accident in my foster home on the first day, but have been good ever since. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love affection and enjoy both receiving and giving it! Spending time with my people is one of my favorite things, whether we're cuddling, hanging out, or just enjoying each other's company. I also like toys, treats and having fun with the people around me. I enjoy car rides, wading in the water and walks/hikes less than 4 miles please (that was a long one and I needed a carry after that lol)—so let’s go on some adventures together! / I ran away when my foster tried to dry me with the hair dryer and I’m not a fan of it being used in general. Otherwise, like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga. August 15, 2026, 6:36 am
