Story
Our Zazu may not be running a kingdom like his namesake, but he definitely carries himself like he could! Also — much like his animated counterpart — his most noticeable feature is his head… which is approximately three sizes too big for his body. Zazu actually looks a little like a cartoon character, but please don't tell him we said that! Seriously. If there was ever a reason to order a DNA test just out of curiosity, this boy would be it. He’s got the head of a Malinois and the body and legs of a Corgi, which leaves us with a lot of questions and absolutely no answers. So we’ve come up with a few working theories: • If you have sheep (or ducks) that need herding — congratulations, you may have found your guy. • If you’ve always wanted a Malinois but don’t quite have the space for the full-size version — may we present the Mini-Mal™. • Or maybe he’s just a perfectly engineered 30-pound package of personality. Whatever combination created him, it works. Short little Zazu is hilarious, very smart, super social, and comes equipped with a great alert bark in case anyone forgets he’s in charge. When he met the guys for the first time, he made friends with everyone immediately — and we’re pretty sure he already believes he’s head of the class. June 8, 2026, 12:20 am

Bobby is a young Corgi/Spaniel/Basset mix. He was dumped in East Texas where my family brought him in and have loved him. We recently transplanted to Matietta GA and due to landlord limitations. He are unable to keep him. Bobby loves attention and loves yo play. He is crate trained. Bobby did suffer some previous dog to dog trauma that has made him slightly anxious when meeting new friends. But he warms up very very quickly and has always been very gentle with my kids.

Story
This is Maple! We acquired her from our local fire department! Maple was a stray that wandered into the fire house. One of the fireman took her in while she was being seen at the vet for getting shots and spayed. We were then lucky enough to meet her and knew she’d be perfect for our family. The vet thinks she is around 2 years old now. Maple is truly the best dog. She is super fun, very energetic, and extremely smart. She also loves to cuddle! She is great with other dogs (we put her in doggy daycare) and fantastic with young children. Unfortunately, our life is progressing fast and we aren’t able to give Maple the attention and time she truly deserves anymore. We are looking for a new home that has plenty of space for her to run around and play (she loves her toys) and owners that will give her the time and attention she deserves. This has been one of the toughest times in our life, but we love her and only want to see her enjoying life to the fullest!

Story
HANDSOME & SWEET:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 60 lbs. Hi, I’m Leon!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m so glad they brought me into the Mostly Mutts family.  I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers here and I heard them say that I’m now ready to find a family of my very own.  I think that is the best news ever, so come meet me soon!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  When I met dogs at Mostly Mutts, I ignored them and when they got near me, I showed my teeth, so I would like to be your only dog, please.  / Cats unknown. / I met two nice boys around 6 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me.  Let’s meet! I previously didn’t like restraint/hugs, so let’s meet with my trainer to make sure I’m alright with this.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, sweet, calm boy and some of the volunteers even report that I’m a gentle giant.  I’m a playful boy who enjoys quietly growling as a way to tell you that I’m enjoying our playtime.  With my soft, silky fur and handsome looks, I’m sure to win you over in no time.  / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been pretty good on the shelter schedule as well as in the off-site training program.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like spending time with the nice volunteers and I’m sure we’ll discover lots of things we will enjoy doing together once I’m settled in my new home.  I love playing fetch!  My favorite version involves two tennis balls - when I bring one back, toss the other and watch me race after it while you scoop up the first.  It's a game I never seem to tire of!  / I’m not a fan of being restrained and the bath was not my favorite thing to do, and like all dogs, I wouldn’t be happy without enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I should wear a muzzle for my vetting as I am not fond of vetting and the restraint that comes with it.  I’m a great dog looking for a great family to love and share a great life with.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 11, 2026, 8:03 am

Story
Mannix, or “Nix” for short, is a wonderful 2-year-old, 30-pound Corgi mix with a huge heart and so much love to give. Nix came to us from a hoarding situation, where he lived with many other dogs and had very little exposure to the outside world. Because of this, many things are still new to him—but he is learning every day that the world can be a safe and happy place. Once Nix trusts you, his personality truly shines. He absolutely adores his people and shows it in the sweetest ways. He will dance when he sees you, roll around happily in the grass or on the couch, and lean in for belly rubs and snuggles. He loves being close to his people and enjoys cuddling up next to you on the couch. He also loves to wrestle and cuddle with the other dogs in his foster home. Nix is crate trained and house trained and has been a very polite house guest. He has not gotten into things he shouldn’t and settles nicely in the home. He is also doing very well with leash training, especially when he is walking with someone he trusts and wants to stay close to. He is learning about car rides and has been going on new adventures with his foster mom, slowly building confidence along the way. He is a very inquisitive and thoughtful little guy. You can practically see him thinking and analyzing the world around him. Nix is also very food motivated and learns quickly, which will make continued training fun and rewarding. Because of his past, Nix will need a patient and understanding adopter. He may take a little time to warm up in a new home. Both of his foster moms shared that it took about a week and a half for him to fully relax with them, and now he acts like he has loved them forever. With patience, a calm voice, and a steady routine, he blossoms into an incredibly loving and devoted companion. Nix would do best in a home with dog experience and a calm environment. A fenced yard would be ideal for him, though he can walk nicely on a leash. Because he is skittish at first and does not like hands reaching over him, we feel he would do best in a home without children. He has not been tested with cats, so we are unsure how he would do with them. For the right person, Nix will be an incredibly rewarding dog. Watching his confidence grow and earning his trust is a truly special experience. He is a sensitive, intelligent, and loving boy who is ready to find a patient home that will give him the time and security he deserves! Story
Meet Patsy, a tiny girl with a huge personality! At just 16 pounds and about 3½ years old, Patsy is the smallest pup from a hoarding situation and is now ready to find a loving home of her own. Patsy is absolutely adorable, with one ear that stands up and one that flops over, giving her the sweetest and most expressive face. She is a very affectionate little dog who truly loves being close to her people. Patsy is a certified cuddle bug and will happily curl up beside you on the couch or snuggle in bed at the end of the day. Patsy is still learning the ropes of living in a home. She is not fully house trained or crate trained yet, but she is making progress when taken outside regularly and with consistent routines. She is also learning basic manners like “sit,” especially when treats are involved—because this girl is very food motivated and thinks breakfast and dinner are the best times of the day! Patsy does have a voice and isn’t shy about using it. She can be a barky girl, especially when she wants attention or when she’s confined, so she would not be a good fit for apartment living. She’s been working on barking less in her crate and is improving with patience and guidance. She will warn you if anybody approaches your house- if you wanted a guard dog in a 16 pound package she’s your girl! This playful little pup can also turn into a bit of a pogo stick when she’s excited and wants your attention—she can jump surprisingly high for such a small dog! She loves chewing on sturdy chew toys like buffalo horns and Nylabones to keep herself busy. Patsy is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys their company. She’s also friendly with people of all ages, and we believe she would do well with respectful children. She has not yet been tested with cats. Patsy will thrive in a home that understands she’s still learning and is willing to give her time, patience, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a sweet, cuddly little companion who just wants to be near her people. If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart and a lot of personality, Patsy might be your perfect match!
