Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet Timid Jack Russell/Corgi Seeks Tender-Hearted Mama Toby is an adorable young 20 lb fella with the adventurous spirit and intelligence of a Jack Russell or Corgi. He just lacks their bravery when it comes to people, especially men. Toby can warm up to a gentle and patient woman in just a day, then reward you with forever unconditional love. He’s also more than happy to share his home with dogs, as they offer company, reassurance, and play dates. Could you find a warm place in your heart and home for this special little lad? Toby's ideal home would be with somewhat active (daily walker), adult female(s), an escape-proof set-up, and experience with shy/fearful dogs. Unfortunately, he is too much of a flight risk to go to a high-traffic home or one with children. Age: 2-3 yrs Weight: 20 lbs Temperament: Good with dogs and best suited for adult, female home Training: Housetrained, Crate-trained, Walks Nicely on Leash  Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $350; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Our Zazu may not be running a kingdom like his namesake, but he definitely carries himself like he could! Also — much like his animated counterpart — his most noticeable feature is his head… which is approximately three sizes too big for his body. Zazu actually looks a little like a cartoon character, but please don't tell him we said that! Seriously. If there was ever a reason to order a DNA test just out of curiosity, this boy would be it. He’s got the head of a Malinois and the body and legs of a Corgi, which leaves us with a lot of questions and absolutely no answers. So we’ve come up with a few working theories: • If you have sheep (or ducks) that need herding — congratulations, you may have found your guy. • If you’ve always wanted a Malinois but don’t quite have the space for the full-size version — may we present the Mini-Mal™. • Or maybe he’s just a perfectly engineered 30-pound package of personality. Whatever combination created him, it works. Short little Zazu is hilarious, very smart, super social, and comes equipped with a great alert bark in case anyone forgets he’s in charge. When he met the guys for the first time, he made friends with everyone immediately — and we’re pretty sure he already believes he’s head of the class. October 5, 2026, 12:31 pm

Story
Hampton came into our home because he was not doing well in the shelter environment. We offered to foster him until he found his home. That was almost a year ago. He had done great in our home, got along with our dogs, and was a very sweet guy. When we took him back to the shelter for his annual vet appointment, instructions were not followed and Hampton violently snapped at the vet tech. The shelter we were working with then deemed him unadoptable and a liability. My wife and I were forced to adopt him, or hand him over for euthanasia. We are now trying to find him a loving home where he can thrive. He is a sweet, and energetic boy. We have been working with a trainer on his couple behavioral issues and believe in the right home he can truly live a wonderful life. He has a couple of triggers that set him off, but are completely manageable. We already have 3 dogs, and can't financially support a 4th long term. He is a good dog, needs a capable owner, and will be a loving companion.

Story
Bailey is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and bond closely with his people. He’s calm and content in a quiet, low-key household and thrives with an owner who can give him consistent, structured attention. Please read carefully: Bailey has resource-guarding tendencies around toys and has bitten before during a possessive moment over a ball. For everyone’s safety, he needs to go to a home with no children (including no regular visiting kids or grandkids) and no other dogs or pets. He would do best with an experienced adult owner who understands and can manage guarding behavior. Outside of this, Bailey is loving, easygoing, and would make a devoted companion for the right person in the right home.

Story
This is Maple! We acquired her from our local fire department! Maple was a stray that wandered into the fire house. One of the fireman took her in while she was being seen at the vet for getting shots and spayed. We were then lucky enough to meet her and knew she’d be perfect for our family. The vet thinks she is around 2 years old now. Maple is truly the best dog. She is super fun, very energetic, and extremely smart. She also loves to cuddle! She is great with other dogs (we put her in doggy daycare) and fantastic with young children. Unfortunately, our life is progressing fast and we aren’t able to give Maple the attention and time she truly deserves anymore. We are looking for a new home that has plenty of space for her to run around and play (she loves her toys) and owners that will give her the time and attention she deserves. This has been one of the toughest times in our life, but we love her and only want to see her enjoying life to the fullest!
