Story
Meet Wally! His Lab head and short little Corgi legs give him the most unique yet adorable look. Wally got a little shortchanged in the leg department so he is what we would call a true low rider. We're not quite sure how those legs ended up attached to that body, but somehow it all works! And trust us, Wally doesn't seem to mind one bit. He's got his own look and plenty of charm to go along with it! Wally is a sweet, easygoing young fellow who gets along wonderfully with adults, children and other dogs. He's house trained, crate trained, walks very nicely on leash and enjoys car rides. He's not much of a barker, has no destructive tendencies and is comfortable being handled. He has a medium energy level, making him a nice balance of playful and relaxed. He's also good with cats, provided introductions are done gradually. Wally doesn't need a big backyard or another dog to be happy. He'd be quite content in an apartment or a house, as long as he has a family to love. He's got the Lab personality, the Corgi style and a whole lot of love packed into one adorable low-riding package. If you're looking for a companion who's a little different, a lot of cute and guaranteed to make you smile, Wally might just be your guy! Dongnam was rescued from a heartbreaking situation. An elderly man living alone had been keeping small mixed-breed dogs, and when we learned that there were young puppies being kept there for dog meat consumption during the summer, we stepped in to rescue them. Story
Solmi's story is one of resilience, hope, and second chances. Before joining the safety of the rescue, Solmi was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter in South Korea. Thankfully, the rescue team reached her in time, and she arrived at Big Dog in April 2025. Since then, she has shown everyone exactly who she is-a gentle, loving girl whose greatest joy is simply being close to people. If you're looking for a dog who will happily curl up beside you after a walk, Solmi is your girl. She absolutely adores affection and will gladly lean in for pets, cuddles, and gentle hugs. Her calm, affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Solmi has limited experience with children, so a home with respectful older children would be the best fit. She also enjoys spending time with other dogs, happily running and playing in the yard before settling down for a well-earned nap. While she doesn't need another dog in the home, she would do well either as an only dog or with a friendly canine companion. She is currently learning her house manners. She is also becoming comfortable with her crate and is learning that it can be a safe, cozy place to relax. Although she has shown no reaction to cats, introductions would need to be managed thoughtfully, and further cat testing can be arranged if needed. After everything she has been through, Solmi hasn't lost her trust in people. In fact, she seems to believe that everyone she meets could become her next friend. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for a family who will give her the happy ending she has always deserved. Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes Good with kids: Yes, older children recommended as her interactions with kids has been limited Good with other dogs: Yes, plays well with other dogs and loves running around the yard Good with cats: Possible, shows no reaction - further testing can be done House trained: In training, prefers doing her business outside, but recognizes pee pads (indoors) Crate trained: In training Energy level: Medium, she's active but loves to rest near people and be handled Can be handled/touched: Yes, loves physical affection and being held Barker: No Flight risk: No, but extra caution should always be taken in the beginning Food aggressive: None Current food: Kirkland Signature Adult Formula Walks on leash: Yes, matches the pace of the person without pulling on the leash Leash reactive to people or dogs: No Rides well in car: Rides well but may have slight car sickness in long rides - should subside with practice Destructive: No Needs a home with a yard: Preferred Needs a home with another dog: No Can live in an apartment: Possible, provided she gets regular exercise Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Adorable Donggeul is ready to leave Korea behind and begin her next big adventure: finding a family of her very own! Donggeul is a gorgeous orange-coated Welsh Corgi mix, but don't let her little size fool you - she's got a big personality and a whole lifetime of love waiting to share! Donggeul is a friendly, affectionate puppy who enjoys being handled and loved on. She's happy around women, men, and children, and gets along well with both dogs and cats! Whether she's making new friends or soaking up attention from her favourite humans, this sweet girl is ready to be part of the fun. Like any puppy her age, Donggeul has a medium-to-high energy level and plenty of curiosity. She'll need a family ready for playtime, adventures, positive training, and all the silly moments that come with raising a young pup. Expect some puppy chewing, the occasional bark, and plenty of opportunities to make wonderful memories together! She's already house-trained, rides well in the car, and isn't known to be a flight risk or have food aggression. She's still learning to walk on leash and will need some help mastering crate training, but with consistency and encouragement, she's ready to learn! Donggeul would love a family who can keep her busy, help her learn, and include her in everyday life. A yard would be a bonus, but it's not a requirement - she can also live happily in an apartment with appropriate exercise and enrichment. She can live with other pets or be your one-and-only princess. Donggeul is still just a baby, with so much growing, learning, and loving ahead of her. All she needs now is a family willing to guide her through puppyhood and give her the safe, happy life every little dog deserves. Story
Meet Miru - A Little Korean Puppy with a Big Heart! Little Miru is ready to begin her next big adventure: finding a loving family to call her own! This adorable Jindo/Corgi mix has the cutest combination of puppy charm, a yellow-and-white coat, and a sweet personality that makes her easy to fall in love with. Miru may be little, but she has a whole lot of love and potential packed into her tiny body! Miru is a friendly, affectionate puppy who enjoys being around people. She gets along well with both women and men, is good with children, and is happy to make friends with other dogs and even cats! Whether she's joining a family full of activity or settling into a quieter home, Miru has the potential to be a wonderful companion. She's comfortable with physical touch and handling, doesn't tend to bark, and has no known food aggression or leash reactivity. She's also comfortable traveling by car, although she can experience a little motion sickness. With patience and practice, car rides may become easier for her. Like any young puppy, Miru is still learning! House training is yet to begin in earnest, her crate training and leash skills are in progress, and she's currently going through the teething stage. Her future family should be prepared for the usual puppy adventures, including the occasional accident, chewing, and plenty of opportunities to learn. Miru has medium-to-high puppy energy, so she'll benefit from daily playtime, age-appropriate exercise, gentle training, and lots of positive reinforcement. A yard would be a wonderful bonus, but it's not a requirement. Miru can also live happily in an apartment with a family committed to meeting her needs. She can enjoy life as the only dog in the home or share her days with another friendly canine companion. She doesn't need a furry sibling to be happy, just a family willing to help her grow into the confident, well-mannered dog she's meant to be. Miru's spay appointment is scheduled, and she's ready to take the next steps toward her bright future. This little girl is at the beginning of her journey. She needs a family who will celebrate her milestones, be patient with her learning curve, keep her safe, and give her the consistency and affection every puppy deserves. In return, you'll get to watch a tiny puppy discover the joys of home life, build trust, learn new things, and grow into your very best friend.
