Story
Meet Miss Ellie; beauty and brains combined! This stunning pup boasts an impressive skill set including obedient commands such as sit, stay, crawl & more while being completely potty trained making transitions easy peasy. Being great around little ones but not so fond of doggy playmates means she would thrive best in a family all to herself where there can be endless snuggles galore! RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wheezy was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. At 8 years old the shelter must be quite a scary place. She is a corgi mix who is 16 pounds.  Wheezy was very happy to get out of the shelter with us and cuddled up for a nice ride home.  She is good with both dogs and cats. Wheezy is well behaved in the home and can be left home without being destructive. Best news of all - she is house broken. She is a great girl and looking for a second chance family of her own. Wheezy has recently been diagnosed with Cushing disease which is being treated with daily medication. She is doing great with it and will make a wonderful pet for a lucky family    If interested please fill out an adoption application online at njshpetrescue.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 10:10 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We cannot imagine how such a small young puppy was wandering all alone in a South Jersey neighborhood but that’s exactly what happened. Nugget was only 2-3 months old when he was found by animal control and brought to the shelter. Nugget was given veterinary care at the shelter and given his first round of shots. Nugget is only 9 pounds and has short legs but looks like a shepherd mix. We aren’t exactly sure what breed he is but he surely is cuddly and fun like all puppies are!! Nugget is in a loving foster home and will be neutered by us. He is looking for a loving family who will make sure he is never left on his own again!! Please submit an application if interested in little Nugget at NJSHpetrescue.org. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 10:10 am

Story
Molly is the sweetest girl, is loving life at her foster home with her canine friends, being spoilt and running around in the yard. She's active, like any puppy is, and loves to be outdoors. She's the goofiest mix of unknown breeds. Molly in her brief life has gone through incredible trauma. At only a few months old she was dropped at at the owner's family member's house but those people hadn't asked for a dog nor did they care for it. So they kept her like a cat with the resident cat - not taking her outside. Ever. Then, when she was 9 months old they stuffed her in a rolling grocery bag (because poor Molly was so terrified that she didn't want to walk) and dumped her at the very scary, big and noisy Manhattan shelter. There she was out of her mind scared and wouldn't not walk. At all. She had to be carried to be taken into the yard and once there she'd still be a statue. Then just before Christmas someone paid a deposit to adopt her - but never picked her up. So as soon as that waiting period was over we went to get her. And oh was she one happy pup when she arrived at her foster home! She's now not only learning how to be a happy puppy and being well cared for but also all the ins and outs of good dog behavior. She still has a little anxiety but that's only understandable after everything she's gone through.

Story
The shelter in Texas listed Ritchie as a Corgi/Dachshund mix but he is a true Heinz 57 mix! He is the happiest dog I have ever met, playful and loving, always up for a new adventure. He walks great on a leash, is crate trained, neutered, fully vetted, and totally healthy! Ritchie has adapted really well to lots of love, attention and structure. He is a sweetheart who is learning to share space with other dogs—he really loves to have ALL the attention himself but is doing better sharing. Ritchie is active, eats well, sleeps well, is completely housebroken & loves walking on a leash as well as playing with his foster siblings. He is a good car rider with a doggie seatbelt since he seems to think he is a lap dog! Ritchie is not a big barker but loves to run and romp and play Fetch! He loves dog toys and Benebones but has not been at all destructive despite only being 10 months old. Ritchie would make a perfect dog for a family, a couple, really anyone. He loves to snuggle up close at night after a full day of playing. He would do best with one other dog in the home who likes to play as well but the 5 dogs in his Texas foster home are a bit much for him at times. Ritchie found himself in a Texas shelter after being turned in as a stray. He got adopted but his adopter started having health problems so Richie was taken back to the shelter. This precious boy never lost hope and remained the happy go lucky guy he is until we pulled him into rescue. If you'd like to give Ritchie the loving & secure forever home he deserves, please complete an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org and be sure to ask for him by name - RITCHIE TX!March 27, 2024, 10:32 am

Story
Meet Hansela, a delightful Corgi and Dachshund mix with a heart full of love! This 10-year-old girl is a bundle of joy, tipping the scales at 15 pounds. Her personality is as charming as her short, black and tan coat. Hansela is a sweet, gentle soul with a knack for making everyone around her smile. She's a smart cookie too, she learned to be crate trained very quickly. Her friendly nature makes her a perfect companion for any home! Hansela's humor shines through in her silly antics, keeping you entertained for hours. Despite her age, her spirit is youthful and full of life. Adopting Hansela means welcoming a lifetime of love, laughter, and loyalty! Her only wish is to find a forever home where she can share her sweetness and intelligence with a loving family. (ME, 2/16/24)     **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  March 25, 2024, 8:46 pm
