Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Meet Bruno — the best of both worlds wrapped up in one adorable, wiggly package! Bruno is a 4-year-old, 30-pound Corgi mix with the classic Corgi body (short legs, sturdy build, and that irresistible wiggle) — but with a unique face that makes him truly one of a kind. And when we say wiggle, we mean it… his whole body gets in on the action! Add in his constantly wagging little nub tail, and you’ve got a dog who wears his happiness on his sleeve. Bruno absolutely loves people of all sizes. Whether it’s kids, adults, or anyone willing to give him a little attention, he’s all in — soaking up pets and dishing out affection in return. He’s the kind of dog who will greet you like you’re the best part of his day, every single time. We believe Bruno may have spent much of his life as an outdoor dog, so he’s still learning the ropes when it comes to house training. The good news? He’s already making great progress! He uses the dog door during the day to go in and out, and he does excellent in his kennel at night. With a little patience and consistency, he’s going to catch on quickly. Bruno does well with other dogs overall, but he does not do well with unaltered male dogs, so he’ll do best in a home that can accommodate that preference. If you’re looking for a happy, people-loving pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Bruno is ready to wiggle his way right into your life. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $200. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Story
I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. For more information on heartworms, please visit the American Heartworm Society here https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basicsHSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

Story
Juniper is perfect pet for an active, experienced owner who wants an exercise partner and/or companion for their current dog. Female, 1.5 years old corgi mix, ~22 lbs. We started fostering her in March 2025 as a favor to a local homeless organization. Her previous owner was living out of a car and had to surrender Juniper to receive long-term housing.Juniper is energetic, playful, and intelligent. She is eager to please and food motivated, but needs daily training and exercise. Loves playing catch and rough-housing with other dogs, especially larger breeds. She is easy on the leash and doesn't bark or pull. Learns tricks quickly and has strong recall. Junie is a diamond in the rough who deserves an experienced, patient owner. Please reach out.

Waffles is a very sweet one to two year-old corgi terrier mix. He was found on the west side of San Antonio and nobody has claimed him in the neighborhood. He is not microchips and is starting his journey on learning how to walk on a leash and potty train. He is very cute and sweet with other dogs and will make a great dog for someone who is willing to put in a little bit of dedicated time

Story
Pictures of him in a service dog vest are old and when he used to be training as a service dog, he has since been washed. Stan is dog reactive and cannot be housed with other dogs. He is a herding breed which means he's very smart and can be stubborn. He's very energetic and will need exercise frequently. He also must be frequently groomed as he does shed a lot. He's good on walks but still learning on leash, if he sees other dogs while on walk he might bark, growl, and/or jump so try to keep a good distance. He is sneaky and will try to sneak past you when you open the door, try to make sure you put him up in his cage before you have the door open if you plan to open it for long amounts of time. He can be shy and first and take some time to warm up to people, he might not want to take treats or food from you the first time you meet with him, just give him time he will eventually come around.
