Story
Pictures of him in a service dog vest are old and when he used to be training as a service dog, he has since been washed. Stan is dog reactive and cannot be housed with other dogs. He is a herding breed which means he's very smart and can be stubborn. He's very energetic and will need exercise frequently. He also must be frequently groomed as he does shed a lot. He's good on walks but still learning on leash, if he sees other dogs while on walk he might bark, growl, and/or jump so try to keep a good distance. He is sneaky and will try to sneak past you when you open the door, try to make sure you put him up in his cage before you have the door open if you plan to open it for long amounts of time. He can be shy and first and take some time to warm up to people, he might not want to take treats or food from you the first time you meet with him, just give him time he will eventually come around.

Story
👻 Meet Ghost Ghost is a fun, energetic girl with a big personality! She loves to play and stay busy, and while she’s not the biggest fan of being carried around, she’s more than happy to come sit next to you on the couch when she’s ready to relax. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate on her own terms and would do best with a family that understands her independence while still giving her lots of love and engagement.

Story
🐾 Meet Poppy Poppy is a one-year-old sweetheart with the perfect mix of cuddly and independent. She was originally adopted into a home that ultimately wasn’t the right fit, and just before her scheduled spay, it was discovered she was pregnant. Poppy went on to have six beautiful puppies and has been an attentive and loving mom every step of the way. Now that her puppies are growing, it’s finally her turn to find a forever home. Poppy is incredibly affectionate and loves to be close to her people, but she also appreciates having her own space—especially around other dogs. Like many corgis and corgi mixes, she has a confident personality and knows what she wants, so she would do best in a home that respects her boundaries and understands her independent streak. She would thrive in a home that can give her both love and structure, and where she can continue to blossom into the amazing companion we know she is.

UPDATE:  ISAAC has had the surgery to remove his cherry eye and all is well.  There is no medicine or daily care that he will need.  This is Isaac a 2 year old, 15 pounder who was very shy at first but warmed up quickly to the other dogs and his new surroundings. He is house and crate trained, my 2nd rescue for 2024 and he is extremely close to his buddy BUZBY. He follows BUZBY around like a shadow. They have a great time running zoomies in the backyard and playing chase. They do know there is a difference between inside and outdoor play. ISAAC is quiet and gives soft kisses. He is not bothered by the other foster dogs in the home but his buddy is BUZBY and he loves him. We think he is a Pomeranian/Corgi mix, he white coat is very soft and smooth and he does not mind you giving him head rubs. ISAAC has a cherry eye but is scheduled to have it removed this week before adoption. If you are interested in adopting Isaac, please submit an application on the website below' www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Story
Brady was discovered on someone's front porch in the wee hours of the morning on Superbowl Sunday. She heard him crying and brought him inside. He was only 4lbs and about 6 weeks old. Unable to keep the kind person reached out to our shelter. He was in good health, just needed to stay on gruel for a bit. Brady loves playing with other dogs and toys, he is a very curious little boy as well. He loves giving kisses, snuggling under your chin and food motivated. He is the sweetest! If interested in meeting Brady please email us for an application. He cannot leave until he is neutered but we are accepting applications now.

Story
Socks is a sweet, snuggly senior who believes life is best enjoyed with plenty of booty scritches, cozy laps, and gentle kisses for his favorite people. At around 20 pounds, he is the perfect take-me-anywhere companion. He is small enough to scoop up easily, yet adventurous enough to join you for car rides, strolls around town, or even a light hike. Do not let his short little legs fool you. Socks still gets the occasional case of the zoomies and loves showing off playful bursts of energy before settling in for a well-deserved nap on the couch. He is just as happy snoozing the day away as he is heading out for a new adventure. Socks does have microphthalmia, which simply means one of his eyes is smaller than the other. He was likely born that way, it does not bother him at all, and he can still partially see from that eye. It is just a small part of what makes him uniquely special. This lovable little guy is ready to bring warmth, laughter, and endless affection into a lucky family’s life. If you are looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and a playful spark, Socks is waiting to meet you. Story
Bumi is a purebred Corgi. We originally got him with plans to breed but ended up having kids of our own and no time to do so. He is a very hyperactive and will be a very active and loving dog if you give him the time. He has been around dogs but needs a long period of time to get acclimated to a new environment. He is mostly confused by my kids but has always been super gentle with them. We are out of cycle for his shots by a month because we had a lot of things come up but can absolutely go get then updated if need be. Bumi does have some seasonal allergies but normally regularly bathing him helps keep the pollen from building up and giving him a Hotspot. Very treat motivated and absolutely loves walks. We are unfortunately moving and are struggling to find a place that allows pets in the new location so we are having to make the responsible choice to find him a new home that we hope will give him the love he needs.
