Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. At 15 pounds, she’s the perfect size for a lap companion, and she takes that job very seriously. Her favorite place in the world is tucked against her person, snoozing or soaking up affection. Once she feels comfortable, ButterBall becomes playful and silly, happily batting around little toys and exploring the yard at her own gentle pace. She’s low&#226&#128&#145energy, low&#226&#128&#145maintenance, and full of quiet sweetness. She gets a bit cranky when other dogs sniff her behind (fair enough), but she’s not aggressive—just politely setting boundaries. ButterBall is friendly with new people, good with kids, dogs, cats, and even farm animals. She’s timid with men at first and can be skittish with loud noises, but her gentle nature shines through once she feels safe. She’s potty trained for pee but still working on poop consistency, and she’s doing well with crate time and basic commands. She loves treats—she’s even learning to beg politely—and she keeps a close eye on her person, always wanting to be nearby. At night, she sleeps in bed and doesn’t move a muscle until morning, making her the coziest little sleep buddy around. ButterBall is the perfect match for someone who wants a loving, loyal lap pet who will keep them warm, make them smile, and bring a whole lot of quiet joy into their home.
