I am a dwarf dachshund Teacup Chihuahua mix, my previous owner wouldn’t tell my rescuer what happened to my mom or Let her know if I had any siblings, but she surrendered me to the rescue before I was able to eat on my own and my rescuer had to raise me to be the spunky and clingy puppy I am today. She was unsure of how old I truly was because although my eyes were open, I was very tiny and I stopped growing the last few weeks, but all of my puppy teeth have Come in and I’ve been eating dry food for weeks now when I say I am tiny I mean, I fit in the palm of your hands. I can fit in any size purse. I can disappear in a pair of boots I am smaller than your Stanley cup, but I’m bossy and I crave attention 24/7 although I’m approved for same-day adoption because I am still a baby and have only had one set of puppy boosters I am not allowed to go outside not even in your backyard until I am 16 weeks old with all 3 sets of puppy boosters and my rabies vaccine. It’s that time of year where Parvo is starting to get serious and my rescuer does not take chances when it comes to our health so unless you are willing to honor that promise that I will not be outside at all, not even in your backyard until I am 16 weeks old with all of my vaccines you will not be allowed to adopt me. Parvo changes and mutates every year, home remedies and old treatment isn’t always effective and why would you risk the chance of ending my life before I truly began to live? I deserve someone who is dedicated to keeping this promise and keeping me safe for the rest of my life and I hope I find that person because I’m ready for a family of my own. I’ve started potty training on puppy pads and I was told I was a good boy. I just need a little bit of work but I have 8 weeks before I’m able to go outside so I’m sure if you are consistent.I will master it. I’m not going to be big at all when I am a full grown adult! I am estimated to not exceed 7 pounds full grown. But if I end up being a fat fat, I could be 10 pounds full grown lol If you think you might be my forever family feel free to reach out to my rescuer. When Frank arrived here, he was partially paralyzed. Unfortunately, after we took him to the vet, it was determined there were no surgical options that could help him. Since then, he has been on a special diet to get his weight down. He is also taking a daily medication to help him, and we are so happy to report it is really working. You can see more videos of this special-needs cutie on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation. Because we require visits here to our rescue and home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, Ca area.

Story
Boo is a ~10-year-old dachshund with a big personality and an even bigger heart for his person. He was adopted from a dachshund rescue at age 2 and has been deeply loved and well cared for ever since. Boo is fiercely loyal and protective, especially of the person he bonds with most. He loves going on walks, happily investigates anything edible (seriously—he’ll eat *anything* in sight), and his favorite place in the world is curled up under the covers with you. He’s mostly house-trained, though he does have occasional accidents. Like many dachshunds, Boo can be high-strung and vocal—he will bark and likes to let you know what’s going on. He thrives in a calm, predictable environment and would do best as the center of attention. Due to jealousy around attention, he is not a good fit for homes with young children. This is a difficult rehoming decision after the death of a spouse in Dec. The hope is to find him a quiet, adult home with someone who understands the dachshund temperament.
