When Frank arrived here, he was partially paralyzed. Unfortunately, after we took him to the vet, it was determined there were no surgical options that could help him. Since then, he has been on a special diet to get his weight down. He is also taking a daily medication to help him, and we are so happy to report it is really working. You can see more videos of this special-needs cutie on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation. Because we require visits here to our rescue and home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, Ca area.

Story
Goose is a 2.5-year-old sweetheart (15–18 lbs) who is looking for a new wingman! We adopted her from a busy grad student, but her play style is a bit too "big" for our Dachshund’s delicate back. Personality: Goose is a world-class cuddler who loves snuggling on the sofa and sunbathing. She is a neighborhood celebrity—every kid and dog she meets absolutely adores her! Skills: She is brilliant and extremely easy to train. She’s already mastered Sit, Down, Stay, Come, and Bed! She is a fast walker who just needs a little more leash work to keep her pace in check. We have just fully housetrained her, so she is perfect for anyone who doesn't have the time to do so. Ideal Home: Goose needs a family with a big yard and plenty of energy to keep up with her playful spirit. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and social companion, Goose is your girl!

Story
Look for the info card in Spokes’ photos to learn more about him! Apply at Pupculturerescue.org/adopt Spokes came to us after being euthanasia listed at the shelter, where he was brought in as a stray and already paralyzed. He had wounds covering his legs from dragging around on pavement and was in terrible condition. That was back in April - and since then he has been incredibly loved and cared for in his foster home. Spokes is the absolute sweetest pup. He gets along with everyone! Like most paralyzed dogs, Spokes is incontinent and needs external pressure on his bladder to urinate. He defecates on a schedule. His care is simple and straightforward once in a routine. Our hope is that one day Spokes will learn to spinal walk. Spinal walking is a reflexive form of walking that the body can learn to do after severe spinal cord injury. He is doing GREAT in physical therapy (showing early signs of walking in hydrotherapy) which we will continue to fund until the money we raised for him runs out, even if he finds a forever home before then. Spokes is available for adoption. If you were interested in this very sweet, very special boy, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or apply on our website: Pupculturerescue.org/adopt

Story
Meet Ellie! This beautiful girl found herself at the shelter after wondering the streets alone. No one claimed her so after her stray hold was up one of our fosters begged us to take her. Ellie is 3-4 yrs old, house and crate trained, good with dogs, and kids. Ellie is a little under weight so she is getting extra feedings but she will be up to her proper weight in no time.  Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. See a pet that you want to adopt or foster?  Please start by filling out the foster or adoption application on our website. Applications are required to be filled out before meeting a pet.  ##2648205##
