For those who are up to a challenge, we are looking for an experienced foster/adopter who can help Hopper. Hopper is a special little guy who needs someone who can work with him and his issues. He has triggers that have lead to bites. He needs help working with someone who knows how to retrain his brain. Hopper is a quirky little guy who does love people, especially when they understand his quirks. Hopper is trustful of the person who cares for him and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. He needs a person to understand his boundaries and that he gives love on his terms. He loves to run at full speed into rooms to greet everyone there. He is very food motivated. He does not like to be picked up and has a dislike of harnesses. He's getting better with allowing harnesses but needs more work on being desensitized to them. He needs someone who understands and accepts that he does not like being picked up, which is not really necessary. He's learned to use stairs to get up on the couch to sit next to you. At night, he's good in a kennel or on a dog bed. Hopper is good with other dogs who are his size. He's not too welcoming of bigger dogs but tolerates them to a point. He can be food protective so no trying to take away his bowl once he's eating (who would do that anyway?). Hopper is neutered, vaccinated and house trained (might mark in the beginning like most male dogs do). Please contact us if you can help Hopper. Pet Information #A5572649 Kodak is an outgoing 6-year-old black with white spayed female Dachshund mix brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray on August 10. Weighing 20 lbs, Kodak is a perfect size to take with you around town or for an apartment or condo. Kodak is very sweet and friendly. She loves to be held/carried and has lots of cuddles to give. She also has some adorable grey whiskers with cute white toes. Kodak likes to crawl on her tummy and loves receiving treats!  She has a kennel mate she’s fond of, so she might be a good pal to another dog. She’s easy to handle on a leash and shows signs of being housebroken.
