Foster, foster to adopt, or adopt Lincoln! Lincoln is a super sweet, loveable, 21 lb goofball. He was in very rough shape when he entered the shelter in Central California - for the second time in November (no fault of his own!!), and due to being a staff favorite, fortunately made his way out of the shelter system quickly and found himself at the REAL Bark rescue. After being in a loving foster for a few months, Lincoln has shown us what a wonderful boy he is, and at the still youthful age of 10, is full of life, love and excitement about the world. He is very food motivated, and gets extra excited around mealtimes, puzzle toys, a good bone, and happily joins in multiple short walks during the day. He loves getting cuddles + pets, and loves a good snooze. He’s overall just a really sweet boy and loves all people and dogs. He has some standard senior maintenance needs and his foster has built a wonderful manual to help his forever home maintain his comfort. He is ready to find that third forever home (3 is a charm!) to take him through his wonderful Golden years, where he will give back so much love to his people. When she got out of jail, she took the other three and said this one was ugly and didn't want her. So, poor fortune,#a2250750 sat waiting for a home. her deadline was pending for euthanasia, and we couldnt let her die in the shelter. We found a temporary foster, and we pulled her, March 13. We named her Captivating, because she is not ugly and we want wveryone to know! However, we need to get her into a forever home as soon as possible, this dog is dog aggressive and must be the only dog in the home. There are other dogs at her current foster home. It is not ideal for her, the other dogs, or the foster. Frank is bonded to his long hair black doxie girlfriend Harley, it's a "adopt one, get one free adoption fee " 11lb 14 yr old Frankie loves to hang out with his peeps on the sofa and he enjoys sun bathing in a sunny window. Like many doxies his age, he doesn't have many teeth, a bit of arthritis here and there, and cataracts but that doesn't affect his happiness level. He's a sanguine guy. He is for the most part is potty trained, tho he has occasionally had an accident if left a long time. He isn’t much of a barker, he's a peaceful lad but if someone knocks on the door he will bark at first to let you know someone is there. He is friendly to most dogs esp those he knows, but can get upset by big dogs so we are suggesting a no big dog home. His first reaction to unfamiliar humans coming into his home is to back off at first but once you get to know him he is affectionate and eager to hang out with you.
