BIO: Malorie came to us pregnant from an oops encounter with another pure bred male but she has seen her puppies off to wonderful homes and now it’s her turn. She has been spayed, had a dental and all her shots. This girl is a sweetie. She’s a little shy at first but warms up and just wants to be loved.
She would be fine with another adult, small dog or by herself if you worked from home or very newly retired. This is not a couch potato. She likes walks and playing so don’t apply if you just want someone to sit with you on the couch.
Our must haves for sweet Malorie are:
Fenced in yard
Another small adult friendly dog, male or female
Someone that can be home more than not
No apts, high rises or condos as Dachshunds do bark

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.
