Scooby is a 5 year old Dachshund Bully mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. He was surrendered when his owner lost her job and was forced to move in with relatives. You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats). His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip. He is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Hey there! We're the fish puppies, named after fish! We came in with our mom, named Ahi (also available for adoption!) when our owner was suddenly evicted and didn't know what to do. We don't know what our dad was, but we suspect some kind of dachshund or bassett hound mix, as we all have very short little legs and are pretty small! Our mom, Ahi, weighs about 35lbs, so we can expect to be somewhere around 20-35 lbs full grown, but we're not really sure. We've all spent some time in foster homes starting to learn the basics of how to live in a house. We're very sweet and love people and other dogs! Let one of us swim into your heart!

Hi! We're the "chicken" puppies! We were dumped out of a car window into someone's yard, she had nowhere to put us, so she put us in her chicken coop. So when we came to VOCAL, they decided to name us after chicken fast food places. Pretty clever, right? They think that we are some kind of dachshund/chihuahua mix and think we may get to be around 20-30 lbs full grown. But we don't know who or what our parents were, so we can't say for sure! We are very sweet and playful, though a tad nervous at first. We are currently spending time in foster homes to learn how houses work and get all the love!

Rescued from the forest area, this little girl is lucky to be alive! She is timid and sweet. The good Samaritans that found her had to trap her because she was so afraid. She is doing well with love and kindness and we are working on finding her a forever family. She is young. With adult teeth but possibly still under a year. Bailey will need a fenced in property as she is a flight risk. She will need a SECURED fenced in property. She is shy at first and scared to trust. Once you earn her trust she is a silly girl. She ADORES cats and loves to play with both dogs and cats. She is a happy little girl but it is evident that she has not lived a happy life before coming to us. Every new noise, anything new that you introduce her to scares her. She will need an understanding home. ##2345741##

Her name is Beba, and she is a sweet dog who deserves another chance. I got her when my sister was incarcerated, as Beba was originally her dog. Unfortunately, Beba has a history of being abused and was bitten by larger dogs, which has affected her trust and behavior. With patience and love, I was able to crate train her and help her overcome food aggression. I truly believe Beba can be an amazing dog with the right person and environment. She has experienced difficult situations and has not always had the care and stability she needed. She was returned to my sister after she was released, but since then Beba has started showing signs of aggression again and does not do well with other dogs. My sister recently got a new puppy, and Beba is not adjusting well to sharing her space. We are desperately looking for a new home for Beba where someone can give her the patience, structure, and love she needs. She still has so much potential and deserves the chance to be loved.
