Story
Scooby is a 5 year old Dachshund Bully mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. He was surrendered when his owner lost her job and was forced to move in with relatives. You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats). His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip. He is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Please help him to feel loved again. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p169/Scooby_Doo.html

Story
This is Randy. I adopted him in 2012 when he was 1. He was abused by his first owner. Randy was my best buddy but then I had kids and am a single mom which has made it really hard to give him the attention he needs. He just loves to love one person and will be attached to you if you let him. He doesn’t love other dogs specifically when he sees them walking outside. Thank you for considering Randy.

Story
Rusty was a stray, rescued from the street in 2020 at 18 months old. He is a sweet boy who is housetrained. He is 26 pounds and is a Dachshund mixed with what I think is a pitt/terrier. He is strong for such a little pup. He knows how to sit and stay and will come when called. He does best when crated when you are away, or when taken out regularly when you are home. He would do quite well with a fenced in yard and lots of time to chase lizards. He is a sweet boy who loves snuggles and his toys. I need to rehome him because my kids are now grown and I am not home enough to care for him like he deserves.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Cocoa! Cocoa is believed to be a corgi/dachshund mix with a big personality, and an even bigger heart. This sweet 3yo, 27lb. girl is fully house trained and crate trained, although she doesn't require a crate and does well settling down on her own. She sleeps through the night and enjoys both playtime and cuddle time equally. Cocoa is an active, playful dog who loves adventures. She loves playing with other dogs, going to farmers markets, and other social outings, and enjoys meeting new people. She walks well on a leash with a little guidance. She thrives on attention and affection and is happiest when she's close to her humans. Whether she's curled up next to you on the couch or following you around the house, Cocoa loves being part of the family. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to play with, but she'd also be perfectly happy being the center of attention in her forever home. Cocoa has been living with a cat and does okay with them, although she can be a little unsure and curious/fearful at first. When it comes to toys, Cocoa is easy to please. She loves chewing on bones and carrying around soft toys, and she's great at entertaining herself for hours. Despite her higher energy level, she’s also always more than happy to curl up for a nap or cuddle session. She needs a little coaxing to get into the car, and seems a bit anxious while riding, but lies down and does not get car sick. She is always happy to arrive at her destination.  Because Cocoa can get excited and sometimes jumps or playfully lunges when interacting with people, we think she'd do best in a home without very small children. We haven't had the opportunity to see how she does living with kids, so a family with older children who understand dog behavior may be a better fit. Cocoa has the perfect balance of playful energy and affectionate companionship. She is eager to please and follows direction very well. Due to her higher energy level, we are requiring a fenced yard for her. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and you're looking for a loving, loyal companion with a fun personality and lots of cuddles to give, Cocoa may be your perfect match.
