Story
Apply to Adopt Me! NOTE: Cubby and Cici are bonded and must be adopted together: Meet Cubby and Cici.  Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and two little hearts find themselves wondering what happened to their world they once knew. That’s what happened to Cubby and Cici. After a death in their family, these two beloved companions were surrendered to our rescue. Cubby, at 12 years old and Cici, at 9 years old, suddenly found themselves in an unfamiliar place, scared and confused. After years of knowing the comfort of home, everything they knew had changed. But with a little love, patience  and affection, these two sweet souls are finding their way through again. They’re learning that there are still kind hands to pet them, loving arms to hold them and people who care. Meet Cubby,, a little gentleman with a big heart! Cubby is a 12-year-old male dachshund with the most beautiful soft red fur and a heart full of love. He’s an affectionate, friendly little gentleman who seems to know that life is sweeter when you have someone special by your side and for Cubby, that someone is his best girl  Cici. Cubby is a calm, quiet boy who doesn’t bark much but don’t mistake his quiet nature for a lack of personality. He’s always happy to welcome a kind person, enjoy a good pet, and soak up a little extra affection. He loves his walks meeting new people and stretching out in the yard to enjoy a little sunshine. Because of his friendliness, he will make a wonderful companion. Cubby also rides quietly, he is house trained on peepee pads, walks well on leash and enjoys frequent trips outside. At this stage of his life, Cubby isn’t asking for much - he wants the simple things: a soft place to rest, a gentle hand to pet him, a sunny spot in the yard, and someone who will love him for the sweet little soul he is. Most of all he wants his sweet little Cici close. Meet Cici - Our precious little booty girl! Oh, sweet Cici! Where do we begin with this adorable 9-year-old yorky. She is the cutest little munchkin with a charming little sway and waddle to her walk. Her foster mom affectionately calls her "my little booty girl," and once you see her toddling along, you’ll understand why. She’s absolutely precious! Cici is a quiet little girl with a sweet personality and a special way of letting you know what she wants. Sometimes she’ll talk to you a little and I have a feeling she’s trying to tell me something important. Maybe she’d like a little pick up and to carry her around. Maybe she wants a little snack. Or perhaps she simply thinks it’s time for a little extra attention. After all, a girl deserves to be spoiled now and then. And Cici certainly knows how to melt your heart. She’s a loving little sweetheart  who would be perfectly happy being carried around by her favorite person, enjoying the comfort of knowing she’s safe and loved. She has a gentle presence that makes you want to scoop her up, give her kisses and tell her everything‘s going to be all right. Cici is doing well with her house training - uses peepee pads - along with walks and backyard outings. She does great on a leash and loves going for walks and she’s great on car rides. But wherever Cici goes there is one very important companion she wants by her side, her beloved Cubby. Cubby and Cici are looking for a forever home together. They deserve to stay side-by-side, sharing their days with a family who will cherish and love them both now they are ready for their next chapter. Can you open your hearts to this sweet duo? If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and have the perfect home for Cubby and Cici, complete an app and tell us more about yourself.November 7, 2026, 10:50 am

Story
SEE ALL OF OUR AVAILABLE DOGS ON OUR WEBSITE: www.tracyspawsrescue.org Meet Nina! ❤️ Nina is a beautiful long-haired Dachshund mix who is about 2 years old and weighs just 14 pounds. She was owner surrendered in deep South Texas for reasons we’ll never know, but thankfully a kind street rescuer stepped in to make sure she was safe. Nina is a very special little dog who is looking for a very specific kind of home. She can be slow to trust new people, and we believe someone may not have treated her kindly in the past. It took me about 48 hours to earn her trust, but once I did, she completely stole my heart. She is incredibly loving, affectionate, and devoted to the people she trusts. Because of her past, Nina needs a dog-savvy, adult-only home with someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. If she feels frightened or threatened, she may nip, so her new family must be patient, gentle, and willing to let her settle in at her own pace. Her ideal home would be with a retired person or someone who has a quieter lifestyle and can give her the attention, patience, and security she needs to continue building her confidence. Once Nina knows she’s safe, she is an incredibly loyal companion who simply wants to be close to the person she loves. Dogs like Nina are worth the extra patience. Watching her learn that people can be kind has been one of the most rewarding experiences, and I know the right person will absolutely adore her. She deserves a home where she’ll never have to question whether she’s safe again. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with plenty of character and a heart full of love, Nina just might be your perfect match. She is Chagas and Heartworm negative. Think Nina could be the one for you? Please submit an application and let us know! ❤️🐾 Nina is located at our shelter near San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to St. Augustine, FL on December 19th with approved application and confirmed adoption. Her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes transport cost. If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. He gets along with other dogs prefers smaller dog or being the only one. Active senior boy, loves to play and Walk is a 4 letter word that he takes seriously, and can go for a long walk with ease. He loves to travel open the car door, and he can whiz right by you to get there first. He can also hang with you on the couch and watch tv, forewarning he is a remote hog. He has been with children that are over the age of 12 and loves them. No cats, as he is allergic to them. He is up to date on everything, neutered, house trained and microchipped. He is a Dachshund Mix, wire haired, almost 11 yrs old. and weighs approx 15 # He is a tail chaser, lol Please if you cannot adopt share him to friends and family, he deserves a new family for the forever life.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2026, 4:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Stretch! Stretch, Spot, and Little Man came to PRBJ from an overcrowded shelter after being rescued from a hoarding situation where the home had over 50 dogs. These dogs are all nervous and have no manners, not talking about sit, stay, paw I am talking about they are used to climbing on tables or counters if they can find a way up.  But they are SWEET and just need to each find a patient owner who can help them and maybe another dog in the house to show them what a dog is supposed to be like :) Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.  **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2026, 11:37 am
