These sweet girls are Dachshund and Chihuahua mixes and are approximately six years old. They came to Pet Rescue By Judy after a heartbreaking change in their family—one of their owners sadly passed away, and the other was forced to move and could not bring both dogs along.  Despite the upheaval in their lives, Squirt and Sweet Pea have remained happy, affectionate, and full of personality. They are housebroken, get along well with other dogs, and even like cats. They enjoy bath time, have been around children ages six and up, and have a playful side that shines once they feel comfortable. Both girls love going for walks and do very well riding in the car, making them great companions for outings and adventures.  Squirt and Sweet Pea are currently on a weight-loss journey and would thrive with a dedicated owner or family committed to helping them stay active and healthy. Daily walks, playtime in the yard, and lots of encouragement will help these girls continue shedding pounds and gaining confidence.  These two share a special bond and bring out the best in each other. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a sweet, loyal duo, Squirt and Sweet Pea are ready to become your new best friends.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 24, 2026, 3:48 pm

Story
This is Randy. I adopted him in 2012 when he was 1. He was abused by his first owner. Randy was my best buddy but then I had kids and am a single mom which has made it really hard to give him the attention he needs. He just loves to love one person and will be attached to you if you let him. He doesn’t love other dogs specifically when he sees them walking outside. Thank you for considering Randy.

Story
Scooby is a 5 year old Dachshund Bully mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. He was surrendered when his owner lost her job and was forced to move in with relatives. You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats). His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip. He is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Please help him to feel loved again. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p169/Scooby_Doo.html

Story
Max is an 8-year-old Dachshund-Terrier mix, who weighs 20 lbs. He is a people dog, as he prefers to be curled up in your lap instead of socializing with other dogs.  He is a real charmer, and will find a way to get in your lap!  He is calm when not around other dogs.  He loves to go outside for a walk or car ride.  He probably should be an only pet, as he doesn't seem to care for other dogs, and probably cats and small children, though he has not actually been cat or kid-tested.  His adoption donation is $300 which includes his neuter, vaccinations and microchip.  He's heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. He is currently in a foster home so we are requesting an approved application prior to a meet and greet. You will love Little Max! https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p197/Max.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application. Here is the link: https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-information.html

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kirby was adopted as a pup and was returned to us, his adopter ran into some medical issues and was no longer able to care for Kirby.Kirby is a very good boy, he is shy at first with strangers but then when he does warm up he acts like he has known ya forever, he was an only dog at his previous home, he is very much a companion dog who loves to go for walks and travels fine in the car. He does get along with other dogs  as he has always done, but at 10 he has grown use to the way life once was. Please note he does have envioronmental allergies and requires monthly  injections to  be comfortable. We would like to  find him a home where someone is looking to have a faithful companion and be willing to take him for walks and play with him. He still has lots of enegy left and loves to run.If you would like to be considered as a new home for him send us a message.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 22, 2026, 2:05 pm
