These sweet girls are Dachshund and Chihuahua mixes and are approximately six years old. They came to Pet Rescue By Judy after a heartbreaking change in their family—one of their owners sadly passed away, and the other was forced to move and could not bring both dogs along.  Despite the upheaval in their lives, Squirt and Sweet Pea have remained happy, affectionate, and full of personality. They are housebroken, get along well with other dogs, and even like cats. They enjoy bath time, have been around children ages six and up, and have a playful side that shines once they feel comfortable. Both girls love going for walks and do very well riding in the car, making them great companions for outings and adventures.  Squirt and Sweet Pea are currently on a weight-loss journey and would thrive with a dedicated owner or family committed to helping them stay active and healthy. Daily walks, playtime in the yard, and lots of encouragement will help these girls continue shedding pounds and gaining confidence.  These two share a special bond and bring out the best in each other. Apply to Adopt Me! Rudy is a sweet, affectionate chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua mix) who is approx. 3 years old and weighs 14lbs. This boy is ready for a fresh start. Rudy adores cozy blankets, being close to his people, and soaking up attention. He’s currently healing from minor dermatitis and is doing great with loving care. He's been extremely sweet with kids in the home, is crate trained and doing well with house training. Rudy walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is a bit barky to other dogs at a distance, and although his foster mom doesn't have other dogs, we believe he will be fine once he gets to know a friendly doggy friend. He hasn't started playing with toys yet, but does love his Benebone. He rides well in a car, and sleeps quietly through the night. This is Randy. I adopted him in 2012 when he was 1. He was abused by his first owner. Randy was my best buddy but then I had kids and am a single mom which has made it really hard to give him the attention he needs. He just loves to love one person and will be attached to you if you let him. He doesn’t love other dogs specifically when he sees them walking outside. Thank you for considering Randy.

Scooby is a 5 year old Dachshund Bully mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. He was surrendered when his owner lost her job and was forced to move in with relatives. You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats). His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip. He is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention.
