Story
***Local adoption only: Farrah needs to be adopted by a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking her to her spay and follow-up vaccinations with PPR's vetting partner. The cost for these is covered in the adoption donation.***
Hello! My name is Farrah and I am a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua Dachshund) girl. I am just 11 WEEKS old and weigh 4.8 lbs. It has been said that “Good things come in small packages” and I am proof of that! I am a typical puppy with LOTS of energy. Plus, I am adorable! I am looking for my “fur”ever home where I can learn all about life with someone who is willing to teach me, be patient with me and love me.
Favorite Things: Farrah is an adventurous and playful puppy who greatly enjoys exploring in her foster’s fenced yard. She also loves car rides and TOYS, toys, and more toys! As with most puppies, Farrah will need to be redirected when chewing on anything other than her toys.
Training & Manners: As a young puppy, Farrah is working on her house training and will need frequent and consistent potty breaks. She is working on her basic manners and walking on a leash. She is very curious and will need supervision while she explores and learns more about her surroundings.
Health and Care: Farrah is up to date on vaccines, but will require boosters, as well as her spay. The cost of these is covered in her adoption donation and they will be scheduled at one of PPR’s vetting partners. Farrah has a beautiful coat (like Farrah Fawcett) and we do not anticipate she will need extensive grooming. Likely, just nail trims and occasional baths will keep this gal looking and feeling her best.
Other Animals: Farrah has experience with small dogs and would love to be in a home with another small, playful pup. She has not been tested with cats, but we think she would be okay with them after a slow introduction.
Children: Because Farrah is such a tiny puppy, she will do best in a home with respectful, older children (8+) who are supervised by the adults in the home.
Ideal Home: Farrah isn’t choosy and would do well in a single-family home, apartment or condo. As long as this energetic pup gets lots of exercise, she will be a happy camper. She would do best in a home where someone is home more often than not (especially as she continues to work on her potty training). When home alone, Farrah does fine in a secure area and after a day of play, she is content to curl up in her dog bed.
Overall: If you are looking for an affectionate, athletic, loving puppy, Farrah just might be the one for you. With consistent training and gentle guidance, she has all the potential to become a loyal, loving companion.
Do you think Farrah could be the one for you? If so, please visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org and submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Farrah’s adoption donation is $550.
