Story
Earle the Pearl: A Tale of Resilience and Joy Earle the Pearl is a delightful 20-pound bundle of energy, with a heart as big as his personality. At just two years old, Earle's journey began in November 2025 when he was found abandoned, tied to a fence outside a vet's office. Despite this rough start, Earle hasn't let it dampen his spirit. Personality and Activities Earle is the epitome of a “happy-go-lucky” pup. He loves to dive headfirst into activities, whether it's wrestling with his shepherd foster brother or snuggling on the sofa with his pittie foster sisters. Earle thrives on companionship and prefers to be in the midst of the action. Crate Training and Mischief While Earle isn't fond of being crated, it’s a necessary measure for his safety when his foster family is out. He can manage about four hours before he starts plotting his escape, accompanied by a serenade of canine tunes. When not crated, Earle is a curious explorer—checking out table tops, counters, and even attempting online shopping! Play and Exercise Earle is happiest with a playmate, whether it’s a fellow dog or an active family member. He enjoys exploring the fenced backyard and romping in the snow, especially when decked out in a cozy sweater. With his love for running and exceptional vertical leap, Earle needs space to expend his energy. Sleeping and House Training Earle sleeps comfortably in a crate in the bedroom at night, though he dreams of snuggling under the covers with humans and other dogs. He’s made significant progress with house training, but supervision is key due to his small bladder. His initial challenges were compounded by hookworms, but he's on the mend. Ideal Home Earle would flourish in a home with a yard and an active family. Older children and/or a canine sibling would be ideal companions for this lively pup. While his breed mix remains a mystery, his Dachshund-like physique and unique stature make him a distinctive member of any family. If you're ready to welcome a dog who’s “all in” with love and enthusiasm, Earle the Pearl might be your perfect match. Complete an application today to meet this extraordinary dog! www.k9ei.dog

Story
Meet Frank — a soft heart learning how to be brave. Frank is six months old, and the kind of love he offers is the quiet, precious kind you earn. He’s timid at first, watching the world carefully, but once he trusts you, he melts straight into your lap like he’s always belonged there. Snuggles are his love language. He’s not a fan of crates, but give him space and patience and you’ll see his real joy shine through—especially when he’s racing around the house with his current roommate, ears flying, discovering how fun life can be. Frank is a quick learner who wants to do well. He’s already working on sit, touch, and down, and he lights up when he realizes he’s gotten it right. Squeaky toys make his tail go wild. Warm laps make him feel safe. What he truly needs is a calm, experienced person with the time and heart to gently coach him all the way out of his shell. Someone who understands that the best love stories don’t rush—they grow. If you’re patient, kind, and ready to fall in love with a dog who will love you back with his whole soul, Frank is waiting Frank is a scared pup, and he will need a calm, patient family who understands that he needs time to warm up and trust them. Families home most of the day and with another confident / social dog are preferred.  If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! Honey Bun is an absolute sweetheart with a loving and playful personality. She adores playtime just as much as she loves giving sweet kisses and snuggling up for cuddles. Honey is fully house trained and will even let you know when she needs to go outside. She already knows basic commands like sit and stay, showing just how smart and eager to please she is. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. Her ideal family will appreciate plenty of kisses, cozy cuddle time, and relaxed short walks together. Honey can be a little vocal when she’s politely asking for something she wants or needs — just one more charming trait in her delightful personality. All around, Honey Bun is a truly special girl who will bring so much love and joy to her forever home. 🐾💛 The adoption fee for Honey Bun is $350. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. Story
Hi there, my name is Huey, and I am a Chihuahua/Schnauzer/Terrier mix about 7 years old. I have been in the rescue for quite some time as it takes me a little time to trust people. I was abused in my past so on my initial meet and greets with new people I am unsure, and sudden movements make me scared and I get barky and growly. Once I get to know you and trust you can't get rid of me, I am looking for someone that understands it takes time for trust and won't push. Once we are BFFs, I am the most loyal, fun, sassy and most of all cuddly friend. I am looking for my forever home with somebody who is either a stay at home, work from home, or retired as I like to be with my people as much as possible. I am completely up to date on my vetting which includes neutered, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, Bordetella, negative fecal, negative heartworm, and microchipped. My ideal home would be with a fenced yard, and no other dogs. (unless you are dog savvy and will take the time for slow introductions and separation for them to build a bond) If interested in meeting me, please go to the rescue's website www.atailof4paws.org and fill out the application. Once completed email or scan to rescue@atailof4paws.org
