Story
Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Bill is a 2-3 year old male Dachshund mix who weighs in at 17 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $450.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Bill's a jolly and affectionate dog. He's 12" tall at the withers. He's currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will not have any lasting heath effects once his treatment is complete. He appears to be a Chihuahua Dachshund mix. He loves the outside and belly rubs. Bill enjoys horsing around and getting the zoomies but will also nap with you on the couch. He's housebroken and sleeps well in his crate. Bill arrived on November 20th from a shelter in Tennessee. He would do best in a home with older children or adults only. He likes playing with other dogs. His style of play can be a bit much for some dogs – he will benefit from work on boundaries/manners. He has a curious nature and doesn't hesitate to squeeze through narrow gaps or try to climb over -- yard fencing and baby gates should be secure. Bill is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation!
