Story
Ziggy is a tiny little girl who is happy as can be. She was surrendered to a downstate animal control because her previous owners could no longer care for her. She is petite, weighing in at 11-12 lbs. She walks well on leash, enjoys people, loves running around with squeaky plush toys. She can be found often crawling underneath dog beds and throwing around toys. Ziggy is dog selective and would possibly do well with a dog of similar size that is very mellow. She met a very laid back cat at the shelter and was curious at first but didn't pay him much mind. Ziggy had surgery to correct her cherry eye and is healing wonderfully. Ziggy does need some patience and gentle introductions as she can get nervous with lots of movement from strangers. She is not a huge fan of being picked up or her stomach being touched.

Story
My Requirements:-Must be only pet-Kids 10 years or olderHi, I'm Acorn and I've got a ton of personality in my little dachshund body! I've been living the high life in a foster home and they have lots to say about me:"Acorn is super sweet and loving- he gives kisses like crazy. He LOVES to cuddle with his humans. He's very smart and trainable, and does well when left alone. Acorn loves toys and chewing bones keeps him occupied. He's fully potty trained!"Sounds like I'm an affectionate little guy with people! You've heard the best about me, now here's the rest: I need to be your only pet because I do not like other animals. I love the sound of my own voice and will bark, if you have shared walls, I might not be the dog for you. Any kids in my new home should be 10 years or older. I would be an amazing backyard dog if you have a fenced in yard, but it's not a requirement. Take a chance on me, I'm an amazing little companion!

Story
Meet Sara, the happiest little lady! Sara is a 4 year old, 26 pound Dachshund mix. Sara loves people and is very happy to meet new friends. She's very patient and does great with older respectful kids! She's pretty indifferent to other dogs - humans are more her jam. She has decided that she requires a minimum of 10-15 minutes of uninterrupted belly rubs in the morning, and who are we to tell her no?! She's so snuggly and sweet, you'll surely agree with us. She loves attention and makes sure her foster mom knows it, especially when her foster mom is on conference calls :) Sara has bilateral hip dysplasia that has permanently affected her knees and ankles with arthritis. She will require lifelong pain management. Luckily, we've been working on finding the right combination to make sure she is happy and comfy, and she is doing very well! We will surely pass this medication and supplement regimen along to her forever family so she can continue to thrive. Sara loves to go for short walks and she is fully potty trained! She also loves to roll around on the couch with her stuffy toys and she loves to be sung to so, if you've been looking for an audience for your solo karaoke parties, Sara is your girl. If ADORABLE looks could kill, we'd all be in trouble. Sara's eyebrows are on point, her pretty puppy dog eyes are the cutest, and her bottom teefers peeking out at you will make your heart melt. Sarah will need a forever home without stairs. Her perfect forever family will be prepared to give her lots of care and attention, and spend a lot of time with her. She's the best mix of cuddles, chill, and playful sass. Her foster family describes her as a dream dog
