Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

Hi, I'm Izzy and I am so glad you are taking a look at me. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon! All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Cliff is a puppy born around 11/19 who is ready to find his forever home! His breed is a bit of a mystery, but he does have short legs like a Dachshund. He has a beautifully soft red coat and an adorable, impossible to resist face. His mom weighs only 13 lbs, and based on his current growth, Cliff will likely stay on the smaller-medium side as an adult. Cliff’s personality is just as sweet as his looks! He has the classic puppy zoomies, followed by curling up right on your chest to soak up attention and deliver big puppy eyes before falling asleep. He is affectionate and clearly a “likes to be with his people” kind of pup, making him a wonderful choice for someone looking for a loyal, people-oriented companion. He is food-motivated and smart, and has already started working on his “sit” command. Cliff is doing great with puppy pads and sleeps through the night in a puppy pen with his siblings. Because he has been with his siblings, his reaction to crate training is still unknown, but he does understand the concept of down time.  Cliff would thrive in a home where he can be included in daily life and given plenty of affection, and positive reinforcement as he continues to grow and learn If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Clay is a puppy born around 11/19 who is ready to find his forever home! His breed is a bit of a mystery, but he does have short legs like a Dachshund. He has a beautifully soft red coat and an adorable, impossible to resist face. His mom weighs only 13 lbs, and based on his current growth, Clay will likely stay on the smaller-medium side as an adult. Clay is a wonderful medium-to-chill energy puppy. He enjoys playtime, but does not need constant activity. In fact, one of his favorite things to do is sit on the couch and watch TV. He also loves curling up in a lap for a cozy nap and is content just being nearby. He is also respectful of adult dogs’ spaces! He is doing great with puppy pads and sleeps through the night in a puppy pen with his siblings. Because he has been raised with his brothers, his response to crate training is still unknown, but he already understands downtime and has even chosen to put himself to sleep in a crate. Sweet momma, Utopia and her five day old pups were one day away from being euthanized in a small south Texas animal control. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days before she realized they were safe. NOW she is THE sweetest and most loving girl!! She is doing good with potty training and is good with dogs and cats. She likes going for drives and walks good on a leash. She's got the cutest little tuft of fur on her head. She's smart and likes to play. Her puppies are cattle dog mix. They are playful and happy. They prefer playing with each other but like their stuffed animals. They are working on pee pad training. They are currently around five pounds, and almost ready for their families!! Mama is likely a long haired/wire haired dachshund and the pups have the low rider qualities with heeler markings- ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! Any one of these pups or mama Utopia will make an awesome addition to your family... you have to take that first step... FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION!! Hurry, this family is ready!!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
