WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet January – Tiny Package, Giant Heart ❄️🐾 2 years old • 8 lbs • Dachshund/Min Pin mix Don’t let her petite size fool you — January may weigh in at just 8 pounds, but she’s carrying around enough love to fill a whole house. This little black-and-tan sweetheart is gentle, soft-natured, and delightfully dainty. When she first meets new people, January can be a touch shy… but give her about 30 seconds and a kind word, and suddenly she’s your loyal best friend forever. Think of her as a slow-blooming flower with a very enthusiastic tail. Once she feels comfortable, January is all about quiet cuddles, cozy naps, and sticking close to her favorite humans like the world’s cutest little shadow. She’s not loud, she’s not demanding, and she definitely doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she’s just happy to be included. January’s Resume (and it’s impressive): • Great with other dogs • Friendly with cats • Wonderful with kids and adults • House trained and dog-door savvy • Up to date on vaccines • Professional couch companion Around the house, January is an easygoing, low-maintenance kind of gal. She’s got the whole “house manners” thing down and fits beautifully into a routine. Basically, she’s the roommate we all wish we had — tidy, polite, and never eats the last slice of pizza. Her idea of a perfect day? A little sunshine, a few gentle head scratches, maybe a short stroll, and a soft spot next to you on the couch. She’s not looking for wild adventures — she’s looking for a forever person to adore. If you’re hoping for a sweet, loving little companion who will quietly steal your heart (and maybe your favorite blanket), January just might be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this tiny treasure warm up your world! 💛🐾

Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO TO THE BOTTOM Opie and Pearl are 2 gorgeous chi/terrier mix pups that are as sweet as can be. Opie is the male and he weighs approximately 14 lbs. Pearl is the female, and she weighs right at 9 lbs. We believe they were born around September 30th, which will put them around 4 months old. We do not believe they will get much bigger than they are now as they have already hit their growth spurt. They are siblings but they are not bonded. One of our volunteers was driving down the road in Texas, by the Mexico border, when these 2 puppies ran out in the road and almost got ran over. They were not street smart. Our volunteer followed the puppies and found the home they belonged to. We found out these 2 puppies (and the momma dog) belonged to a couple who had gotten them for their adult autistic son. The puppies and mom had never seen a veterinarian, and they did not have a fence to secure them, so they would just open the door and let the dogs out to go running the streets and neighborhood. Thankfully, they agreed to surrender the puppies to us, but unfortunately, they would not let us have the mom. The mom weighed around 18 lbs. These pups are very sweet, and very submissive. They act shy, but once you baby talk them, they become jello and just start wiggling their butts, rolling over for tummy rubs and just melt. Pearl is a little more outgoing than Opie, but they are both learning to love humans. They love other dogs and get along great with them! They have met cats and do fine with them. They have toys and enjoy playing with them, but they enjoy mischief a little bit more. When they are in their crate, they think the best game is which one can pull more stuff into the crate from outside of the crate. Pearl and Opie love sleeping on the bed/couch! They are crate trained, and working on full house training. We recommend kids 5+ years for these 2 as they may shy away from younger children. If you’re looking for a smaller dog that doesn’t shed too much, enjoy being held, will be the most loyal companions and follow you everywhere and cuddle when you let them, please look no further than Opie or Pearl. These babies are FIXED (spayed/neutered), current on parvo/distemper vaccinations, current on bordatella, current on annual rabies vaccine, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current on dewormer, microchipped, fecal test, will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.OSKAR Breed: smooth dachshund Age: 8 years Weight: 15 pounds Adoption Fee: $375 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative and maintained on preventatives, recent dental ~~~~~ OSKAR is a sweet & sassy wiener who is looking to settle into a furever home.   He is a professional snuggler & loves most humans, just no small ones please!   Oskar's hobbies include sleeping under covers, sunning himself on the deck, watching TV & batting his BBE's (big brown eyes) at you for any snacks you may want to share?   Canine minions are cool and chilln' with his foster fur-brother is fun. However, very large dogs or hyper-happy alpha types who want to be all up in his face are not Oskar's cup of tea.  Oskar did have some injuries from his prior life when he came to rescue, but has fully recovered & ready to go home. His canine dentist (ok, vet) also says his teeth are in great shape.    He is housetrained and leash trained, loves to go on walks, & ride in the car.   Oskar is okay with crates, but much prefers hanging around the house & would LOVE to snuggle with you in the "big bed" at night if allowed.    Oskar would be suited to apartment living provided you agree to carrying HRH (his royal hound-ness) up & down any stairs, as all nobility should be!     P.S. If you think OSKAR is the dog for you, please fill out an adoption application today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  OSKAR  is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the  Eastern Shore.   An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link --  https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption  ` Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt.   The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ #dachshundsofinstagram, #adoptme, #brokennomore, #sausagedogVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 29, 2025, 6:32 pm

Story
If you’ve ever wished for a hiking buddy who can also binge-watch TV like a pro, Tod might just be your guy. This 7-year-old Chihuahua/Shetland Sheepdog mix is a short-legged, pointy-eared, corgi-lookalike who proves that dynamite really does come in small(ish) packages.Let’s get the basics out of the way:Housebroken (he’s got better manners than most people you know)Crate trained and actually likes his crate (his man cave) Leash trained (polite walker, occasional opinions about other dogs)Knows “sit,” “paw,” and “kennel” like a champNot a fan of small children or chaosTod’s Ideal Home:Tod is looking for a home where the humans are fully grown and can respect his personal space. He’s a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to animal friends—he can coexist with cats (on his terms) and is dog-selective, preferring either to be an only child or live with a chill canine roommate who doesn’t get in his business.A Note on Manners:Tod is basically that friend who’s a blast to hang out with… as long as you don’t touch their fries without asking. He guards his food, toys, and personal space with the confidence of a small dog who knows exactly what he wants. He can be reactive to other dogs on leash, which means he’ll let you (and the neighborhood) know when he has Big Feelings. At the vet or during invasive handling, Tod prefers to wear a muzzle—not because he’s mean, but because he’s a firm believer in personal boundaries. Think of him as that person who says “I love hugs” but means “only when I initiate them.”If this guy sounds like the guy for you, and you’d like to take Tod home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
