Dexter is on a special diet and needs regular grooming appointments for his skin. Meet Sunshine: Sunshine is about a 10 year old (as of May 2026) dachshund mix that weighs about 16 pounds. Sunshine was surrendered by her owner with 2 other companions when the owner could no longer keep them. Sunshine is now being fostered in the Parkesburg, PA area (as of June 6, 2026) and would love to meet her forever family. Sunshine came to us appearing to have been a well loved family pet. Sunshine is a consummate lap baby who is happiest in someone's lap or under the covers at night time. She's very gentle and would be great with kids. Sunshine is not showing her age at all. She's very active and runs around the yard with the best of them. Sunshine appears to be house trained. We would love for Sunshine to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Sunshine did test heartworm positive and went through treatments. Sunshine is up to date on her shots and was spayed recently. Hi!  My name is Charlie and I am looking for a forever home.  Me and my friend were surrendered to a small rescue after our owners claimed we were "chasing chickens" and said they no longer wanted us.  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes!  I appear to be a dachshund mix (no telling what that mix might be!), am only around 1 year old but past all of that puppy foolishness and I weigh a little over 21lbs, not too small but not too big.  I love getting attention even more than getting treats (but I won't turn one down!).  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats that I've encountered.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of bedding.  I'm good on leash and enjoy going on walks as it means I get to be with you and out on an adventure.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Handsome piebald Cajun is a total sweetheart, a gentle, well-mannered boy, who loves cuddling!  Four years, 12 pounds, Cajun came to rescue as a breeder release because of an IVDD episode.  He was never completely down, wobbly especially on one side. We treated him with steroids, acupuncture/laser; then some water therapy. Cajun is doing so well. He walks, runs, goes in/out the doggie door in his foster home, plays. His only limitations are stairs, jumping, but those are off limits for all doxies. We'd like him to have a fenced yard. He would enjoy a doggie buddy, who is mostly chill, plays some. Cajun loves lap time, hanging out with his humans.  If you are able to open your heart to this lovely boy, he'll be a great best friend. Fostered near Philadelphia, PA.
