Meet Sunshine: Sunshine is about a 10 year old (as of May 2026) dachshund mix that weighs about 10 pounds. Sunshine was surrendered by her owner with 2 other companions when the owner could no longer keep them. Sunshine is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Sunshine came to us appearing to have been a well loved family pet. Sunshine is a consummate lap baby who is happiest in someone's lap or under the covers at night time. She's very gentle and would be great with kids. Sunshine is not showing her age at all. She's very active and runs around the yard with the best of them. Sunshine appears to be house trained. We would love for Sunshine to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Sunshine did test heartworm positive and went through treatments. Sunshine is up to date on her shots and was spayed recently.
