He will be a long term foster unless that one in a million right home comes along for him. We are looking for sponsors to help cover the cost of his medical expenses. Dexter is on a special diet and needs regular grooming appointments for his skin. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

Meet Flower: Flower is estimated to be about a 2 year old (as of September 2025) dachshund / terrier mix (best guess) that weighs around 36 pounds. Flower was found as a stray in Brownsville, TN and taken in to a shelter by animal control. Flower became a shelter favorite immediately and only spent a few days there before we were able to get her into our rescue. Flower is currently being fostered in the Leola, PA area and would love to meet her forever family. It seems impossible not to fall in love with Flower as soon as you meet her. Flower is affectionate and well behaved and gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. Flower will make a great pet! Flower is currently using a doggie door and may need some patience while she adjusts to a new method. We would love for Flower to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can play freely. Flower is up to date on her shots and spayed.
