Story
I'm Sir Willie the Duke of Red Rockets, and I'm ready to add some nobility to your home! 🐾 As a handsome 4-year-old red dachshund, I'm neutered and full of personality. With my sleek mahogany coat and distinguished demeanor, I'm the kind of gentleman companion who'll bring joy and charm to your everyday life. I am good with dogs and with cats and I am house trained. I do have a spicy side due to my size and my history. I am not a bad boy; I just get an attitude at times. My adoption fee is $400, and I promise to be worth every penny. Come meet me and discover why they call me "Duke"! 👑❤️

Story
Meet Miss Minnie! Hi, I’m Miss Minnie, an approximately 8-month-old petite, pretty, little girl, approximately 18 lbs,  with long legs, a big personality, and enough energy to keep you smiling all day long! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, active companion, I just might be your girl. I love being outside, going on daily walks, playing ball, and keeping a close eye on the neighborhood during my very important squirrel patrols! ️ Because I’m such an active girl, I need a home with a securely fenced yard where I can run, play, and burn off some of my puppy energy. After I’ve had my fun outside, though, I’m more than happy to come inside and curl up on the couch with my people and my furry friends. ❤️ I absolutely love people and would happily spend my day getting attention, sitting in your lap, or playing with you. I also love children and enjoy being included in all kinds of activities. I get along well with other dogs and love having furry friends around. I came to my foster family after experiencing a traumatic tail injury that resulted in a tail amputation. But don’t let that worry you—it hasn’t slowed me down one bit! I’m doing well and have continued to be the happy, energetic, playful little girl that I am. I’m also a bit of an alarmist when someone comes to the door—Amazon deliveries are especially exciting! I’ll definitely let you know when someone arrives, but once I meet them, I’m happy to make friends. I simply believe it’s my job to announce all important visitors! I travel very well in my crate, although I’ll be honest: the crate is not my favorite place to spend my time. I’d much rather be outside exploring, hanging out with my people, playing with my fur siblings, or snuggling on the couch. I’m a fun-loving, affectionate, active little girl who is ready to find a family that will keep up with my energy and give me plenty of love, attention, playtime, and adventures. If you’re looking for a petite, sweet, long-legged girl who will bring energy, laughter, cuddles, and lots of joy into your home, I’d love to meet you! Love, Miss Minnie All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   September 2, 2026, 11:10 pm

Story
Alfie gets along well with other dogs, though like most dogs he has his own opinions about toy sharing and isn’t shy about voicing them with a growl if another dog gets a little too close to something he’s claimed.Alfie came to us after being left behind when his person moved out. His roommates didn’t want to take on his care, so one of them brought him to us instead. It wasn’t his fault, and he’s settling in and doing his best to figure out this new chapter. He’s still a bit timid and is just starting to get comfortable sitting on a lap for any length of time, so he’ll do best with adopters who can give him time and space to build trust at his own pace. He’s not completely potty trained and is actively working on it with his foster.Alfie is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and treated for parasites. His adoption fee is $150.If Alfie sounds like the right fit for your home, please complete an application at www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website.
