Remy is a very sweet and affectionate dog. He LOVES playing fetch with a ball, and if you say "drop it" he will release the ball to you. He also loves to cuddle in bed or on the couch, he's extremely protective so if someone even pretends to hit someone he will bark and push himself in-between the people "fighting". He seems more protective of women than men and will be alert of people who approach the front door. He understands commands like; "sit" "up/stand" "dab-me-up or shake" "stay" "drop it" "leave it". He's always happy little dog! He's more play driven than food driven He also really loves car rides and tug of war He enjoys dog treats like kabobs and pig ears

Chewy is a female silver dapple dachshund who came into the rescue when her elderly female owner died. Her favorite things are snuggling with you on your lap and in the bed. She hasn’t had much exposure, so she is learning how to be a dog, how to interact with other dogs and men. Everything is new for the first time. Chewy weighs 14.4 pounds, and her birthday is 6/3/22. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Meet 2yo Huey! Huey is a male English basset looking for a new home. He is house-trained, good with dogs and cats, older kids only please.    Huey is a good boy who loves to snuggle, especially likes to sleep with you under the covers, and give sloppy wet kisses! He is a bit of a Velcro boy! He is not a fan of crates but does ok when left alone. He loves to be outside but will need some work with leash manners. He will need a home with a fenced in yard and is being fostered in Columbus. His adoption fee is $300. Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address.
