Luna (8 y/o) and Dulce (7 y/o) have been with their family since luna was a few months old and is the mom of dulce. They have always been together so we would like to continue to keep them together if possible. They have begun to show some behavioral issues with strangers and our current living situation is a bit unstable so we dont have the time to give them the patience and attention they deserve.

Big News - Lucy is on her way to her new family!! Lucille (Lucy)!! Lucy is a 10 yr old Dachshund weighing 21 lbs. Lucille was pulled from the overcrowded Lorain County Dog Kennel. She had nails that were so long they grew into her pads, and she could hardly walk. She was also overweight and had a skin infection. After her visit to the Avon Lake Animal Clinic, she went to a fantastic foster home and went on a diet! She has already lost weight and now is feeling MUCH better. Lucy had a dental, is spayed and vaccinated. Lucy loves living the slow life, her favorite thing to is hang out outside and play neighborhood watch. When she isn’t doing her civic duty keeping the neighbors safe, she can be found snuggled under some blankets or romping with her owner. She has your typical sassy weenie personality and has mastered the puppy dog eyes. She is indifferent to other dogs. She doesn't mind them in her space, but does not initiate play. Aside from porch sitting, her favorite things include belly rubs, car rides, and walks. She's not running a 5k just yet, ;-) but she has been working on her endurance and as she loses weight, she has been able to increase her walk distance. If you are interested in Lucy, please click "Apply Online" to submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Lucy would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $50.00
