Story
Bean is a sweet and affectionate dog, but she seems to have experienced some trauma in the past. We adopted her from the local animal hospital, where she had been abandoned. They said they think she had at least 3 pregnancies and may have come from a puppy mill. She gets along fine with people, but fights a lot with our other dog, which is the only reason we are looking to rehome her. Bean is high energy, but she does not know how to play. She enjoys walks and being in the yard. She loves petting and sitting on your lap, and loves being under blankets. Bean loves to eat, is very food driven and can be territorial over food. Bean needs to be an only pet, or she may be able to get along with bigger dogs, but we do not have a way of testing that. Bean is house trained, but she will occasionally pee on blankets if they lay around. We think that may also be territorial. She knows how to sit, stand on her hind legs ("up"), turn, and give her paw. She is not crate trained that we know of.

Waldo is a sweet lil couch potato dachshund. We have had him 4 years and he is such a good boy.. He loves cuddling his human or his doggy "brother." He'll keep up on short hikes and he loves a good romp. One medium length walk and one short one per day and a dog park trip or hike once in a while help keep this boy sweet. He is a 21 lb standard red short haired dachshund. We love him and he was really good with our six year old in her toddler years but he has been very grouchy with our new baby (perhaps adding another dog to the home or age have led to his increased grumpiness). We are looking for a new home for Waldo.. Older kids should be fine but he shouldn't live with babies or toddlers.

Their mom adored them and made sure they were always cared for—up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and they’ll be getting dentals tomorrow so they’re ready for their next chapter. These two are as kind as they come: they get along with everyone, have wonderful temperaments, and are happiest when they’re near people who show them love. Jake and Scarlett miss their mom very much, but they’re ready to find a new forever home where they’ll be cherished just as much as she cherished them.
