Story
💃🐶 ADOPT DIVA 🐶💃 This pretty, sassy, golden girl is a senior dachshund mix and had a pretty tough time before finding herself at the shelter after an emergency vet visit. 🥺 Diva is doing well with her foster family. She's very sweet and getting along well with their other pups. Diva likes to tell you all about it when you've missed dinner time (or, at least the time she thinks she should have dinner). She likes to be close to you, especially in the kitchen. 😆 She's not a fan of change and needs a little time to adjust but is the sweetest girl once she's settled and comfortable. She is a really fun pup! ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Age: approx. 1 year    Weight: approx. 13 lbs  Coco is a lively, affectionate, and energetic girl. She does well with other dogs and would be fine with kids. She loves bones, toys, and exploring outside while supervised. While Coco is a loyal and happy companion, her tendency to be underfoot might post a risk to individuals who are elderly or prone to falls. We recommend she be adopted by someone without these specific concerns, ensuring everyone's safety and peace of mind.  Coco is crate trained, mostly house trained and would love to be adopted by someone who has a lot of time to spend with her. She needs to be crated while unsupervised.  Coco has a fee of $500 and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative and on heart worm prevention. You can apply to meet/adopt her here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ 04/10/20234.1 04/10/2023 We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
