Story
💃🐶 ADOPT DIVA 🐶💃 This pretty, sassy, golden girl is a senior dachshund mix and had a pretty tough time before finding herself at the shelter after an emergency vet visit. 🥺 Diva is doing well with her foster family. She's very sweet and getting along well with their other pups. Diva likes to tell you all about it when you've missed dinner time (or, at least the time she thinks she should have dinner). She likes to be close to you, especially in the kitchen. 😆 She's not a fan of change and needs a little time to adjust but is the sweetest girl once she's settled and comfortable. She is a really fun pup! ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Official intro to Bud (we call him Buddy) Bundy! This sweet baby is 3-4 months old and weighs about 8 lbs. His fur is a beautiful brindle on his face and legs with a white belly and toes and then his back is black! He was definitely not used to being handled by people...... but he is being handled a lot in my house . He can still be skittish at some times when he is approached by people (especially my kids) but he is learning to come up to me for scratches and treats. Even though he backs up when approached at times, he still is fine with being picked up and cuddled. He has slept on my kids laps on the couch a few times. He hasn't had any potty accidents in the house yet after the first day, but he and Dove do take LOTS of outside breaks during the day. He is learning to sit and touch but that's about as far as we have gotten so far. He has slept in his crate at night really well after our first night which was rough. He goes to bed between 9-10, potty break at midnight and then up at 6-ish. He loves tonplay with Dove and has no issues with her size. He is such a precious little baby Little family dumped roaming the area for a few days, a mom, dad and 2 puppies. All super cute just wanting a warm loving home. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
It's hard to portray how tiny she is! Kelly Bundy (we call her Peanut) is only 6lbs at 3-4 months old and she's the sweetest, cuddliest, easiest foster girl. She thinks she's so big. She goes through the dog door, she plays with the all the dogs, sleeps all night in her crate and stays dry. I cannot imagine her being here long because someone is going to adopt her and there should be a line so I suggest being the first to put an app in! Little family dumped roaming the area for several days, a mom, dad and 2 puppies. All super cute just wanting a warm loving home. Story
Adorable little 4-month-old ball of energy. Sweet loving and friendly. She seems to be a mix of chi-terrier-dachshund with long legs. A house fire landed this little girl in the shelter. Family had no where to go and no where to keep the pup. He and the family were safely rescued by local fire department.
