CASPER IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Hi, my name is Casper, and I am a very sweet, playful, energetic neutered boy.  I am a dalmation/pit mix, with one blue eye and one brown eye. I am about 2 years old. I am crate trained and have had no accidents in the house. I am strong, but my foster dad has taught me to walk on a leash. I really enjoy this exercise and time of bonding. I am a medium sized dog at a little less than 50 pounds. I enjoy the outdoors in a safe, fenced yard, but I am mainly an indoor dog. Won't you please consider adding me to your family? He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Casper up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Casper here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2026, 9:53 pm

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)                 Sweet 5m old 38lbs sisters Kara from Arkansas.  She came in with her Kora They can be adopted together or separately.   All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Skye is a beautiful , happy girl.  She is housebroken and full of joy and smiles. She loves her toys! She is most happy just being beside her person (especially if curled up on the couch). She does like to play and can even catch a frisbee. She is trained to take treats gently.  She also walks right into crate if asked. She gets along great with our other dog.  Skye loves children and would love to run around in a big yard with a family. We think Skye would be fine with or without another dog.  She does have a little separation anxiety when left alone so another fur friend may be good for her. Skye loves going on walks and is very good on & off leash.  She is a great girl and you don't have to go through all of the puppy training!  If you're intersted in meeting a sweet girl, put in an applcation for Skye! ##2454991##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Meet Sancho! Sancho is a handsome 2½-year-old, 55-lb Dalmatian mix who made the journey north from Texas and is ready to find his forever home. This charming guy is housebroken, crate trained, and absolutely adores his people—attention and affection are his love language! Sancho does well with other dogs, though he likes to take on a leadership role, so he’ll thrive with an experienced adopter who can provide clear structure, consistency, and patience. He’s an energetic, smart pup who would shine in an active home with regular exercise and guidance. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to bond and ready to learn, Sancho could be your perfect match.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 21, 2025, 10:01 am

Story
Cooper is a 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a gentle, thoughtful spirit who just needed time to feel safe. When he first arrived in his foster home, it was clear he hadn’t had much (if any) socialization with people or everyday life inside a home. Regular household sounds, movement, even the TV were overwhelming. His crate became his safe place, and he would choose to go there often just to feel secure. With patience and consistency, Cooper has slowly blossomed. Now he spends most of his day resting calmly on the couch or laying in the kitchen while meals are being made. He used to be nervous in the car, but now he gets excited to go for rides. He didn’t understand treats at first, but now he joyfully pops up on his hind legs to ask for one. Cooper does very well with dogs of all sizes and is respectful of cats. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training—he hasn’t had an accident in the house in about a week. Though he is around 4 years old, he still has a bit of youthful playfulness in him. He loves belly rubs, gentle massages, chewing on toys, and watching the world go by from the cat perch. On walks, he is calm, rarely pulls, and often looks back to “check in” with his person—he truly wants to do things right. Because unpredictable movement can still make him nervous, Cooper would do best in a calm home without young children. He needs someone who can offer patience, steadiness, and understanding. Cooper has already come so far. With a loving, reassuring person by his side, he will continue to open up and become the loyal, tender, devoted companion he is meant to be. To apply directly for Cooper click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-762 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Name: Hayden Age: 2 years Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog Size: 35 lbs Special Needs: Heartworm positive. Will need treatment. Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Hayden, a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with striking looks and a lively, loyal spirit. Found as a stray in Long Beach Mississippi he was brought to the Humane Society of South Mississippi. He’s smart, alert, and loves having a job to do — whether that’s exploring the outdoors, playing with purpose, or learning something new. He did seem a little reserved and shy at first, but with a little time and meeting new people he has become more comfortable with his surroundings and has opened up a bit. Hayden thrives on activity and engagement, making him a great match for an adopter who enjoys adventure and understands working-breed energy. He bonds closely with his people and brings both enthusiasm and devotion to the relationship. He does fine around other dogs. He is a little unsure at first but once he has a few minutes to warm up he starts to run around and play with the other dog. If you’re looking for a bright, athletic companion with personality and drive, Hayden is ready to put his heart to work for his forever family. Hayden is up to date on vaccines and prevention. He will be neutered upon adoption and even though he has tested positive for heartworms we have no doubt that with proper treatment he can live out the rest of his long life happy and healthy. Hayden's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN.
