CASPER IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Hi, my name is Casper, and I am a very sweet, playful, energetic neutered boy.  I am a dalmation/pit mix, with one blue eye and one brown eye. I am about 2 years old. I am crate trained and have had no accidents in the house. I am strong, but my foster dad has taught me to walk on a leash. I really enjoy this exercise and time of bonding. I am a medium sized dog at a little less than 50 pounds. I enjoy the outdoors in a safe, fenced yard, but I am mainly an indoor dog. Won't you please consider adding me to your family? He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Casper up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Casper here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 6, 2026, 1:50 pm

Story
Scarlet is a rebel who enjoys starting fights with her siblings. She goes outside and does well going to the bathroom outside, but in an emergency, she uses the pad. She has an appointment on September 8th for updated shots and her rabies shot. She is quiet and very affectionate with kids and people. She barks when the others start barking, but is normally quiet. She is an aggressive chewer. She is used to eating from her own bowl, which can be grabbed to be moved without her biting. She really is one of the sweetest babies and needs a loving home.

Sunshine is a very affectionate little girl with a hefty appetite. She is a barker, but stops on command. She gets along with children and other people. She has an appointment for her shots and the rabies shot on 10/6/26. She goes potty outside and also on the wee wee pad in case of an emergency. She does have an occasional accident. She is used to eating out of her own bowl that if needed can be taken away to move without her biting. She has NEVER bitten anyone. She is not familiar with cats, just dogs and reptiles.

Story
Woof (Hi) I'm Sandy and I will follow you everywhere. It's hard to get a good picture of me because I'm always at your feet with every step. I'm a bit shy to start, but once I trust you, I won't leave your side. I am very athletic, super smart and problem solve. You may need to get up early to keep ahead of me! I learn commands really fast and would make an excellent household service dog! I currently know how to come, sit, down, high five, touch (nose to your fist) and (on her own) how to open and close the gate latches ;) lol. I am also crate trained, and will put my "paws up" to be lifted to my second story crate. I am currently living in Puerto Rico, but there are free flights to New Jersey, available every month, and my adoption fee covers the necessary tests and certificate for travel. ***When inquiring about one of our beautiful pups, please be sure to include your phone number and check your spam folder... some of our responses are unfortunately being marked as spam. Harley is very destructive with her chewing. We had a trainer come in who taught her simple commands, but she still cannot get over her chewing. She has already destroyed 5 pillows, 5 fleece blankets, 2 comforters, 2 sprinklers, and other outside things like wooden step railings. She walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. I am 72 years old and just cannot keep up with her.

Story
Meet Hilux - Three Legs. Endless Love. One Incredible Survivor. Some dogs let their past define them. Hilux refuses to. Hilux came to us through the Soi Dog Foundation, where her journey began after she was found following a devastating road traffic accident. She suffered severe injuries, including brain trauma and damage to her left front leg. Despite every effort to save it, the leg couldn't be restored, and it was amputated. But if you think Hilux lets that slow her down... think again. Today, Hilux is a happy, friendly, and confident girl who has embraced life with all three legs! Like many rescue dogs, Hilux can be a little unsure around new people at first and isn't a fan of busy traffic, but with patience and reassurance, her sweet personality shines through. She may not care much for toys, but what she does love is discovering new places, making friends, and soaking up affection from the people she trusts. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, and gets along well with the other dogs around her. Hilux doesn't see herself as different. She doesn't count her legs. She counts the adventures she still has ahead of her. Now all she needs is a family willing to look beyond what's missing and see everything that's still there: resilience, joy, courage, and a heart overflowing with love. Could you be the one to give this amazing survivor the forever home she's waited so long for? Apply to adopt today!

Story
Meet Monty! This handsome 6-year-old boy has quite the story. Monty was once part of our Training Wheels Program years ago, and we were so happy to see his familiar name come back to us when he was surrendered to an overcrowded, high-kill shelter. Because Monty had previously received medical care through us, his microchip information led the shelter back to our rescue. We immediately put in a request to pull him and bring him to safety. ❤️ Now that he’s with us, we’re getting to know this sweet gentleman all over again. Monty absolutely loves being around people and enjoys nothing more than taking a nice stroll outside with his favorite humans. He is housebroken, affectionate, and truly a gentleman. Monty may also do well with a laid-back, easygoing dog who will respect his pace and personality. Our vet did note some arthritis in his rear legs, so continued medication and management for his arthritis will be recommended to help keep this senior boy comfortable. After everything he’s been through, Monty deserves a loving home where he can relax, enjoy his walks, and spend his days surrounded by people who adore him. 🐶💙 Interested in meeting this sweet boy? Please submit an application at almosthomeli.org or stop by during our operational hours.
