I am about 2 years old. I am crate trained and have had no accidents in the house. I am strong, but my foster dad has taught me to walk on a leash. I really enjoy this exercise and time of bonding. I am a medium sized dog at a little less than 50 pounds. I enjoy the outdoors in a safe, fenced yard, but I am mainly an indoor dog. Won't you please consider adding me to your family? Hi! I'm Twix, and I'm a lovable 60 pound 1 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix. My foster family says I'm a playful goofball and a very smart boy. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, come, paw, and touch. I'm also house trained. I'm still very much a puppy, so I hope to find a forever family that will help me continue my training. I'm a good leash walker, but I also love running around and playing off leash, so a fenced in yard is definitely on my wish list. My two favorite things in the world are playing and food. I love to play with toys and having play dates with other dogs. I have 3 foster dog siblings right now, so I could be in a home with another dog but I love to be the center of attention too. If you like to snuggle, I'm your guy! I love to snuggle with my humans on the couch. After some morning play time and a walk, I spend the day napping or playing with toys while my foster parents work from home.I can be nervous when meeting new people or going to new places, but treats and positive attention help me get comfortable quickly. Because I'm a big boy and have teenage puppy energy, I would do best in a home without small children. Dottie Darling is estimated to be nine years old, but no one has mentioned that to her. We won't if you don't. This beautifully spotted girl looks every inch a Dalmatian and has plenty of bounce, silliness and enthusiasm for working a room. She will happily make the rounds collecting pets, belly rubs and booty scratches, toss in a little playful moment for good measure, and then retire to the couch like the seasoned professional she is. As always with rescue dogs, breed and age are our best guesses rather than guarantees. Whatever may be in her family tree, Dottie is a wonderfully expressive, delightfully spotty girl with a personality that is all her own. Her energy comes in perfectly manageable little bursts. Dottie enjoys bouncing around, exploring and getting playful, especially when she hears the magical sound of a squeaky toy. She may carry a toy around for a bit, but squeak one and you will have her complete attention. Once she has had her fun, she is more than ready to stretch out and relax. She has big couch-potato energy with just enough playful sparkle mixed in to keep life fun and full of laughs. People are unquestionably Dottie’s favorite. She is confident, affectionate and wonderfully comfortable being handled. During her assessment, she happily moved from person to person collecting attention, rolled onto her back for belly rubs and accepted affection from everyone she met. She forms close bonds with her people and would love a home where she can soak up plenty of one-on-one attention. Dottie is also house trained and has lovely manners in the home. She handles everyday noises and activity well, walks nicely on leash and responds well to guidance. A ground-floor apartment could suit her just fine, provided the complex welcomes a girl of her size and breed. Because she is an older lady, she appreciates breaks, comfortable places to rest and a home that will not expect her to spend long stretches exercising in the heat. Now for the boss-lady portion of Dottie’s résumé. Dottie is dog-friendly, she currently lives with another dog and she has shared her home with him for many years, but their arrangement works because he likes being bossed around and is willing to respect her rules. Dottie's foster find it hilarious because if love is being given out, Dottie wants it to be her turn no matter what the circumstances. She isn't mean, just insistent. Simply, she is not looking for a wrestling partner or a busy canine social life, and her version of the happiest home would be where she is the star of a one-woman all-star show. Dottie has also lived peacefully with cats, and her foster shared they often can be found napping together. When she met our house cat she was very eager to meet him. Because of that difference, we would not consider her broadly cat friendly. A home with a calm, aloof, dog-savvy cat may be possible with slow introductions and thoughtful management, but a pet-free home would offer the most straightforward fit. Ava is a smart girl- who is eager to learn, and catches on quickly. She just finished a board and train program with K9 Consultants. She has learned and is perfecting sit, down, place, heel, and more. She is house trained, kennel trained, and rides well in the car. Ava is a young dog full of energy. 🤎🐾 STETSON 🐾🤎 “Sometimes, all it takes is one person to change everything.” Somewhere in Moultrie, Georgia, two college students stopped at McDonald's. They had no idea that before they got back in their car, they would meet a dog who would change the course of their entire day — and possibly his entire life. They witnessed five dogs attacking Stetson. They tried to intervene, but the dogs wouldn't stop. Eventually they managed to drive the pack away, and when they reached Stetson, they saw the puncture wounds covering his face and neck. They could have called someone. They could have driven away. They didn't. They called their parents, put a frightened, injured dog into their car, and drove 14 hours from Georgia to Connecticut because they couldn't bear the thought of leaving him behind. And that's how Stetson found his way to us. Now it's our turn. Stetson is a young adult male who has clearly been through something terrifying. He's understandably scared right now, and his wounds are still healing — but there is something incredibly important we want everyone to know: Stetson is not aggressive. Not even a little. This sweet boy has every reason in the world to be angry at dogs, people, or the universe in general. Instead, he is gentle. Quiet. Trusting. And desperately hoping someone will show him that the world isn't always a scary place. Those marks on his muzzle aren't freckles or unusual coloring. They are wounds from the attack. We are taking care of the physical part. The rest — the confidence, the trust, the realization that he is finally safe — will come with time, patience and love. For now, Stetson would do best as an only dog. Other dogs frighten him after what happened, and we aren't going to ask him to face that fear before he's ready. What Stetson needs is remarkably simple: A safe home. A patient person. A soft place to sleep. Someone who will let him discover what being someone's beloved dog actually feels like. He doesn't need to be the bravest dog in the room. He doesn't need to prove anything. He's already survived enough. Now he gets to learn how wonderful life can be. And someday, when Stetson is sprawled on a couch, completely relaxed, surrounded by people who adore him, we hope he forgets the road from Georgia entirely. Because his story shouldn't end with five dogs chasing him through a parking lot. It should end with someone saying: “This is Stetson. He's ours. He's safe. And he's home.” The two students who rescued him gave Stetson the first part of his second chance. We're determined to give him the rest. 🤎🐾 Stetson is safe now. And we intend to keep it that way.

Dottie has the biggest bestest smile and greeting of any dog you could ever meet!!! Her curly tail spins in circles when it wags, and she shuffles through the house, sounding like grandma in a bathrobe and slippers! She is the happiest soul and so extraordinarily gentle, did not develop quite properly so her hips are quite small for her size. She loves going on a walk and can easily do a mile around a hilly neighborhood. She has to take her time on stairs, but she can get them done without issue. Her entire body is just a little out of alignment, she walks out an angle in her smile is also a little bit crooked and derpy making her absolutely positively adorable!! She will be your biggest happiest greeter at the door, and the same goes for any other dogs you may have— she is thrilled when they return from being away!! Just as any good Pyrenees would be, she likes to sit out in the yard and keep guard of what’s going on. She is a house dog, though, and a giant bed hog! she will also be your dinner alarm, making lots of ridiculous noises at exactly feeding time reminding you that you might be just a little bit late and she is starving. She has personality galore and is an absolute doll!! She gets along great with other dogs, cats, kids.
