Story
Meet Sookie! This sweet, 7 year old, female Dalmatian came to us after spending her whole life in a puppy mill. Over the last few months Sookie has made great progress in becoming a dog!   She has completed our prison training program and is ready to find her first loving family!   Sookie will require an adopter with patience as she adjusts life outside of a cage. She is more comfortable with women, but will warm up to men as well. Once she warms up she is a very sweet girl and your new shadow!    Sookie's ideal forever home would have: A fenced in yard so she can safely explore the outdoors A quiet, adult only home. Young kids are too quick, noisy and unpredictable.  No cats!! She thinks they are very fun to chase ;) Another dog to help her adjust!   Sookie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and HW tested/negative. She is also crate trained, potty trained, does well on a leash, and knows her basic commands! If you have space in your heart and home to give Sookie the happily ever after she has been waiting for; please visit our website and complete an adoption application! https://www.prodogsohio.org/  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.December 1, 2025, 9:28 am
