Story
Super sweet, super energetic dog! A little too energetic for a newborn. She escaped a Georgia dog fight ring and a trucker drove her up to Philadelphia at only 9 weeks old. She’s house trained and good with young kids who aren’t afraid of dogs and has never bitten anyone. She rarely barks so she’s good if you have strict sound restrictions in your apartment.

Story
Meet Two-Tone (ACCT-A-241719)! This handsome fella is ready to find a forever home who's worked with Dalmatians before and can give him all the love he needs! Two-Tone is an energetic dog who enjoys playing fetch. While out on walks, he can be a little distracted by all the exciting smells around him, but he's learning to focus on his leash manners. He enjoys a good chew toy and puzzle to keep him entertained. During his time with us, Two-Tone has had mixed interactions when meeting other dogs, sometimes being slightly rude and sometimes avoidant, so slow and careful introductions to any resident dogs will be key. An adult-only home with someone who has experience with his breed would be ideal. With patience, understanding, and positive reinforcement, Two-Tone is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you're looking for a loyal and playful dog, Two-Tone might just be the perfect match for you! 📹 VIDEOS: Two-Tone Meets Yazzy!: https://youtube.com/shorts/rpFAqVtSrIE Two-Tone Meets Yazzy 2!: https://youtube.com/shorts/CuqcYmu-Tok Two-Tone Meets Fender!: https://youtube.com/shorts/OSzFhzBCmqs ⭐️ BEHAVIOR: Per volunteer 2/2: I met two time this evening. At first seeing him jump so high in his kennel I was like wow am I going to be able to leash him? He was super easy to leash, walked so nicely, minimal jumping while out, loved running in the yard for 15 minutes, gave me lots of kisses and loved being pet. Sat nicely for treats. He was such a good boy and returned to the kennel easy and layed on his bed and relaxed! That little outside time was all he needed to settle in for the night. Love him! Per staff on 1/29: “Two-tone has been jumping up to the top of the kennel repeatedly, along with heavy panting. Gave frozen kong and placing a sheet over his kennel. He is PCR pending so he can't be taken out for walks until results are in.” Behavior eval 1/28/2026: Kennel Presentation: Laying on the bed when I approached his kennel. Got up and came to the front with ears to the side, tense eyes and tail down. Offered a treat which he took hard. Leash Skills: When I presented the leash his tail was mid and wagging. He lightly pushed his head through the door but was easy to leash. Pulled mildly outside on the walk. Sociability: Asocial. Pet with the end of my leash at first and he continued walked around sniffing. I was able to lightly consent pet and he continued to keep nose on the ground and did not solicit attention from me. We were in the volunteer room and he kept searching for food, found a cookie sandwich on the table and he ate it. Snatchy with treats. After the dog meet he did jump up on me with soft eyes and mid tails wags. A staff member sat down and he walked over to her allowed a few seconds of under the chin pets and then walked away. Play: Chased after a ball and catch it in the air. Dog Interaction: Met Yazzy and Fender. With yazzy he walked right up, tail wagging in a circle his head went over her head and she did a grumble. Two-Tone backed up and did not want to reapproached. Fender came on really strong and Two-tone was avoidant walking away from him Return to Kennel: Walked right into the kennel without hesitation. Color Level: Exp Gold Recommendations and considerations: Per volunteer 1/23/2026: I only did kennel work because I felt like he was very stressed out since he just came in and I didn’t want to overwhelm him. When I first saw him he was barking showing teeth and his tail was tucked going to the back near his bed. So I got some treats and he is very treat motivated and we did “touch” through the kennel. He did very well. He just needed sometime to warm up. But I didn’t take him out because he didn’t seem ready that day Per staff 1/22/2026: During my morning walk through Two tone was standing in the back part of his kennel. With wide eyes, ears forward and tail down. I tossed a treat and he gingerly walked forward to eat it. I tossed a few more and he came to the middle of the kennel and did a paw lift. 📃MEDICAL: On 1/29, Two-Tone was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection (URI) and started on medication. He is currently PCR pending for pneumovirus. Per exam on 1/24: “Weight: 51 lbs BCS: 5 - Ideal Assessment: - male two testicles intact -slightly cloudy eyes -slightly stained adult teeth -BAR (bright, alert, responsive)” ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. Story
Meet Star! 🌟 Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. This girl has been through more than most dogs ever should - she was shot, and the bullet went through her jaw and ear. She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesn’t let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She does wonderfully with kids and gets along beautifully with other dogs, but would do best in a feline-free home as her instints may lead her to chase. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. She’s very smart, already knows “sit,” and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. If you’re looking for a dog with a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful spirit, Star is your girl. 💛🐾 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such.
