For Adoption:Yoko was found in TN and picked up by animal control. Her owner could not be found. She is a young dog, under a year, and loves everyone. She has just been spayed and is ready to find a loving home. Dalmatians go from gallant to goofy in the blink of an eye. They love to be a part of everything their family does. That said, they have high energy levels and need plenty of exercise. If you’re looking for a jogging partner and friend who’ll love you unconditionally, this is the dog for you! Dalmatians are very  intelligent, but can be willful if they sense their owners are not in charge. They g enerally do well with firm, consistent training. You must  be comfortable being the alpha pack leader  if your aren’t this is not the breed for you. Yoko does not like other dogs so she will need to be the only dog in the home. She is very excitable so she may not do well with young children as she is a bull in a china shop and will plow through or knock the children over. Thank you for your interest in rescue. Lucky hasn't been that lucky, until now. His owner struggled with drug problems and abandoned him. The neighbors have taken great care of him in his owners absence. He is a super friendly, loving and affectionate dog who loves to go for walks and rides. He even took himself on a walk one day and ended up at the bottom of an old well. Thankfully people noticed he was missing and after a few days he was rescued by a team of wonderful people. He was the neighborhood dog basically but he really wants a family of his own that will love him forever and let him snuggle on the couch with them. He is ok with other dogs but prefers if they are smaller than him so they don't intimidate him. But he would be great as the only dog too. He is best friends with Lucy (who he used to live with) and they get along great. He is about 18 months old and about 60 pounds. He will make a great addition to a fun family. Hi my name is Mia and I am looking for my forever home.  I am a 4 year old English Pointer/American Bulldog mix.  I was thrilled when I got to go somewhere and super excited when I realized that I was going to meet Santa.  I have been such a good girl this year as I have been patiently waiting for my forever family to find me.  Santa asked me what I wanted for Christmas.  I only want one thing.  All I want for Christmas is a forever family.  I truly am a great girl.  If you are an active couple or family looking for the perfect dog then you have found her in me.  I am super sweet, loving and very smart.  I am a lean 50 lbs and the ultimate athlete.  I love to walk and am great on a leash.  I also love to run and zoomies are my favorite.  MI would love a family that will take me for walks and for runs and who also has a big fenced in yard where I can perform my zoomies!  You will be amazed by my speed and agility.   I am also very smart.  I know sit, stay, lay and will go into my crate when told (though not her favorite place).  I am a very social dog and want to be with my people.  I am happy laying on the sofa next to you to watch a ball game and would love a pillow on your bed where I can lay my head.  I will try not to take up most of the room!!  I am the ultimate family dog and want to be involved in whatever is going on.  Trip to Home Depot and I am in the car.  Just going for a drive, I am ready for that too.  Going to the park or on a hike, I am ready and a great companion.  If you prefer a dog walker, I will be ready when they come.  I can spend a little while alone but would really prefer someone to be home.  I would also prefer to be an only dog.  I love my humans and want all the attention.  I has been spayed and am current on all my shots and microchipped.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Mia is actually in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)May 31, 2023, 1:02 pm
