Axle's mom was a dalmatian and dad was a black long haired collie. He is a sweet submissive dog. he is kennel trained and used to using a dog door. He gets along great with other dogs and has plenty of energy. So many black dogs in rescues are overlooked, this sweet boy deserves a chance in his own forever home.

Story
Hi there! My name is Toby 🐾, but my government name is Polamalu. Toby is what I respond to best! I’m a 9-month-old Terrier Blend with a pretty crazy story. One day I got picked up and brought into a human’s home, and they’ve shown me all kinds of cool things. I learned what a dog bed is, and honestly, I could lounge in that thing all day. When my humans are home, we play with toys and sticks, but sticks are definitely my favorite. If you’ve got branches in your yard that need cleaning up, I’m your guy! I’ve also been learning human words like “sit,” “kennel,” “paw,” and “leave it.” I do especially well when treats are involved! I love belly rubs, toys, and exploring the world around me. I’ve got tons of energy, I’m learning new tricks every day, and I’d love a family of my own to show off for. If you want to add 4 paws to your family, call my humans to meet me! Bark to you soon, Toby 🐾

Story
Lilo is a sweet, loving, and very affectionate dog who loves being around people. He has a big personality and enjoys attention, playtime, and companionship. Lilo would do best as the only pet in the home, as he does not get along well with other dogs. He deserves a patient and caring family who can give him lots of love and a calm environment where he can thrive.

Meet Terra 🤍 Terra is a young Dalmatian/Husky mix with a super goofy, loving, and energetic personality. She loves attention, being around people, and playing. She’s very smart and curious and definitely has that fun “big personality” energy. I got her as a puppy and I care about her a lot, which is why this decision has honestly been really hard for me. As she’s gotten bigger, I’ve realized she would probably be happier in a home with more space, more time, and a lifestyle that better fits her energy level than I can currently give as a nursing student living in an apartment. She would do best with someone active, patient, and willing to continue training and giving her lots of exercise and attention. She’s still young and learning, so she has a lot of potential with the right person/family. (She’s been to 2 Petco classes). Her spay surgery is scheduled for next week. My biggest priority is finding her a loving, stable home where she can really thrive and be happy long-term.

Story
Hi! I’m Barbara and I’m on a very important mission: Finding my forever family. A little about my past: I was living outside in a rural town not far from Austin with my 2 siblings when we were just 9-10 weeks old. Living life outside was not easy- it was really hard to find food and water, and we were SO itchy from all the tiny bugs that the hoomans call "ticks & fleas." We were just minding our own business playing on the dirt road, when a car passed by and a stranger walked out and tried to call us over. We all hid in the tall grass- nobody ever stopped for us before. Then the stranger brought out some tasty treats and I was the first one to run over to him- I was SO hungry! This guy put all of us in his car and we just slept- I'm not sure what is was, but we just knew he was there to help us. Now, I am in a home with my foster mom and foster brother learning how to be the best dog for my forever family! I’ll be honest with you… when we first meet, I might act a little shy. New people are a big deal for a tiny girl like me. But give me just a little time and suddenly I’ll be: 💖 Rolling over for belly rubs 💤 Curled up in your lap for the best naps ever 🎾 Challenging you to epic tug-of-war battles 🚗 Riding shotgun and watching the world out the window Basically… I go from “who is this human?” to “YOU ARE MY WHOLE WORLD.” And guess what? I’m not just cute — I’m a very smart girl too! 🎓 My Puppy Report Card: ⭐ Almost fully crate trained (I nap like a pro when it’s cozy and covered) ⭐ Learning to go in my crate when you ask ⭐ Almost potty trained — I am even learning to go to the door to let you know I need to go out! 🌧 Working on being brave during storms and rainy potty breaks. I still get a little nervous! I also LOVE other dogs once I know they’re my friends. My foster brother is pretty great, so I’d totally be happy with a dog sibling. My dream home could have: 🐶 Another dog to play with 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids to grow up with ❤️ Or just a human who wants a loyal little shadow I’ve met babies and kids and I’m still learning they aren’t always ready for full puppy play mode — but I promise I’m trying my best! Here’s the truth: Somewhere out there is a home where I’ll finally belong. A couch where I’ll take naps. A family who will laugh at my puppy zoomies. A person who will call me their dog. Maybe… it’s you. 🐾 Adopt me and gain: Unlimited cuddles A lifetime of loyalty And the happiest tail wags you’ve ever seen Your best friend is waiting. Don’t make me wait too long. I am in a foster home in Pflugerville and my foster mom is open to setting up a meet & greet before choosing to adopt- please email Kassidy@tracyspawsrescue.com if you are serious about adopting and would like to set this up!

Fun fact: Some 45-pound dogs are convinced they`re lap dogs. Tiger is one of them. This friendly Catahoula mix (DOB 1/29/24) walks beautifully on leash, and has never met a person he didn`t want to be best friends with. He arrived as a stray, but he`s ready for a life where the only wandering he does is straight into your lap. He gets along great with other dogs. If you are interested in Tiger, visit us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday from 10am-1pm or email us at bahshelter@yahoo.com.

Story
Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. She is available for a meet and greet with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
