Story
Lilo is a sweet, loving, and very affectionate dog who loves being around people. He has a big personality and enjoys attention, playtime, and companionship. Lilo would do best as the only pet in the home, as he does not get along well with other dogs. He deserves a patient and caring family who can give him lots of love and a calm environment where he can thrive.

PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. 🎸 Mick Wagger here... and yes, I rock. Before you ask... yes, I know I'm ridiculously handsome. Between my striking eyes, my one-of-a-kind eye patch, and my adorably floppy ears, I tend to turn a few heads wherever I go. What can I say? I was born to be a star. I'm about 10 months old, weigh around 45 pounds, and my people think I'm a Catahoula/Lab mix. That means I'm smart, athletic, and always up for a good time—but don't worry, I'm not one of those dogs who needs to run a marathon before breakfast. I'd call myself medium energy. I'm just as happy going for a nice walk as I am hanging out with my favorite people afterward. One of my favorite things? Making friends! I love other dogs and have a sweet, easygoing personality that makes me a great companion. Whether we're exploring the neighborhood, playing in the yard, or relaxing at home, I'm simply happy to be part of the fun. I'm still young, so I'm excited to keep learning and discovering the world with my forever family. All I need is a little love, a few treats, and someone willing to tell me what a good boy I am (which, let's be honest, won't be hard). So if you've been looking for a loyal sidekick with rock-star looks and an even bigger heart, your search is officially over. You can't always get what you want... but if you adopt me, you just might find you get exactly what you need. Love, Mick Wagger 🐾🎸

Story
Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. She is available for a meet and greet with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. Story
Quarantine up: July 16th, 2026 Meet Pebbles—one of the most unique little dogs we’ve ever had at Tracy’s Paws! She’s an adorable mix of opposites: the sturdy chest of a pit bull with the long, low body that reminds you of a dachshund or Chihuahua. The result? Pure cuteness. Pebbles weighs only about 8 pounds, and we don’t expect her to get much bigger. She’s a happy little firecracker who loves to play with the other dogs here and is always ready for fun. Like many puppies, she can be a little mouthy while she’s learning, so we recommend enrolling her in a puppy training class and using a crate to help her develop good habits and give her a safe place to relax. Pebbles has a big personality packed into a tiny body, and she’s ready to bring a lifetime of laughter and love to the right family. She’s so small you could almost carry her around in your purse—but we think she’d much rather spend her days by your side, making memories. If you’d like to see additional videos of Pebbles, we’re happy to make them for you. Just let us know! We’d love to help you get to know this special little girl even better. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind best friend, Pebbles just might be your girl. If you’d like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Story
Quarantine up July 16th, 2026 Meet Twinkie! ❤️ Twinkie is an adorable 10-pound Chihuahua with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She came to us from a shelter in deep South Texas with a severely injured eye that had to be removed, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. At around four years old, Twinkie is gentle, loving, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She has a kind, easygoing nature, and I can truly see her fitting into just about any family—whether you have children, other dogs, or you’re simply looking for a loyal little companion. Twinkie is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but we do transport! Be sure to check the transport schedule on our website—we may already have a trip planned near you. Twinkie tested positive for Chagas but please do to let that scare you. She is doing great on treatment and the app cost is $30 per month for every 20 lbs of dog weight so not much at all. If you have a Costco near-by.... that's all you need. You can find out more about this on our website or copying and pasting the below links into your browser. If you’d like to see additional videos of sweet Twinkie, just let us know. We’d be happy to share more of this precious little girl with you.
