Story
Quarantine up: July 16th, 2026 Meet Pebbles—one of the most unique little dogs we’ve ever had at Tracy’s Paws! She’s an adorable mix of opposites: the sturdy chest of a pit bull with the long, low body that reminds you of a dachshund or Chihuahua. The result? Pure cuteness. Pebbles weighs only about 8 pounds, and we don’t expect her to get much bigger. She’s a happy little firecracker who loves to play with the other dogs here and is always ready for fun. Like many puppies, she can be a little mouthy while she’s learning, so we recommend enrolling her in a puppy training class and using a crate to help her develop good habits and give her a safe place to relax. Pebbles has a big personality packed into a tiny body, and she’s ready to bring a lifetime of laughter and love to the right family. She’s so small you could almost carry her around in your purse—but we think she’d much rather spend her days by your side, making memories. If you’d like to see additional videos of Pebbles, we’re happy to make them for you. Just let us know! We’d love to help you get to know this special little girl even better. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind best friend, Pebbles just might be your girl. If you’d like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Story
Quarantine up July 16th, 2026 Meet Twinkie! ❤️ Twinkie is an adorable 10-pound Chihuahua with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She came to us from a shelter in deep South Texas with a severely injured eye that had to be removed, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. At around four years old, Twinkie is gentle, loving, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She has a kind, easygoing nature, and I can truly see her fitting into just about any family—whether you have children, other dogs, or you’re simply looking for a loyal little companion. Twinkie is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but we do transport! Be sure to check the transport schedule on our website—we may already have a trip planned near you. Twinkie tested positive for Chagas but please do to let that scare you. She is doing great on treatment and the app cost is $30 per month for every 20 lbs of dog weight so not much at all. If you have a Costco near-by.... that's all you need. You can find out more about this on our website or copying and pasting the below links into your browser. If you’d like to see additional videos of sweet Twinkie, just let us know. We’d be happy to share more of this precious little girl with you. Story
Quarantine Up Aug 8, 2026 Meet Jellybean! This sweet little Schnauzer mix came to us from deep South Texas after giving birth to her beautiful puppies. She has done an amazing job raising her babies, and now it’s finally Jellybean’s turn to find the loving forever home she deserves. Weighing about 19 pounds, Jellybean is one of those dogs who loves everyone she meets—people, dogs, you name it. I always describe dogs like her as “Walmart greeters.” She’s friendly, happy, and has the kind of temperament that makes everyone feel welcome. If you’d like to see additional videos of Jellybean, just let us know—we’d be happy to share them. Jellybean is currently located just outside San Antonio, Texas, but we do transport, so be sure to check our transport schedule. Story
Quarantine Up July 16th, 2026 Meet Barrett. This sweet little guy is one of the kindest dogs we have here. We estimate that he’s around five years old, though that’s just our best guess. He weighs only 13 pounds, and if you ask me, it’s 13 pounds of pure sugar. Barrett is incredibly gentle and gets along beautifully with other dogs. We did have to move him to a different playgroup because he was being picked on—he’s simply too sweet to stand up for himself. His favorite place is curled up in your lap, soaking up all the love and cuddles he can get. Somehow, this precious boy ended up in one of the most underfunded shelters in deep South Texas, but we’re so grateful he’s safe with us now. Barrett is the kind of dog who can fit into almost any loving home, and we know he’s going to make one very lucky family incredibly happy. Barrett is located just outside of San Antonio, Texas, but we do transport to many areas. Be sure to check our website to see if we have a transport scheduled near you. If you’d like to see additional videos of Barrett or watch how he interacts with other dogs, we’re always happy to share them. ❤️If you’d like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Story
Quarantine / Available after: July 29th, 2026 Meet Popeye—one of the sweetest little dogs you’ll ever meet! As of July 2026, he weighs just 13 pounds, and we estimate he’s about 8 months old. Popeye came to Tracy’s Paws missing one of his eyes—it’s simply gone—but don’t let that fool you. It doesn’t slow him down one bit, and he lives life with a happy, carefree attitude. He arrived with another young dog named Quincy. Both were living as street dogs until a kind-hearted person rescued them and brought them to Tracy’s Paws. Popeye is incredibly friendly, loves people, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and simply wants to be close to his humans. He would make a wonderful companion for a family with children or for anyone looking to add another dog to their pack. He’s truly just a good boy. Popeye is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but be sure to check our transport schedule—we may already have a transport planned near you. Story
Meet Lovely Lucy, female 1 year old Short Hair Pointer Lab mix which makes her very loyal, sweet and friendly.  She is spayed, heartworm free, all shots done, including rattlesnake and has 6 months supply of flea and tick meds. She was abandoned in my neighborhood and may have had a tussle with another animal as her knee was strained, but she is on the road to health and can run, run, run! She also sits, stays, has learned to jump over posts, and hopped right into the tub for her bath. She is learning to not pull on a leash and getting better everyday.  She enjoys sitting on a porch with the water hose running around her while she laps up the water. She is not aggressive, loves all ages, all people, dogs and cats. She needs a big yard to play with her favorite toys and plenty of love because she deserves it.  She weighs 70 pounds.Lucy is in obedience training and is doing great!!!! Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our adoption application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Smee! Ahoy! I'm Smee, and just like my namesake from Peter Pan, I'm on the hunt for my very own Captain Hook... except I'm hoping mine comes with treats, belly rubs, and a forever home! Born in November 2025 and weighing around 70 pounds, I'm a big, goofy puppy with the sweetest heart. People say I look like a little cow—not just because of my adorable black-and-white markings, but because I'm built like one too! My size might be impressive, but I'm really just a gentle giant who wants to be close to my people. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I LOVE water. Kiddie pools, stock tanks, puddles—you name it! My favorite pastime is climbing into a water tank, sinking down until I'm completely submerged, and leaving just my eyes above the surface like a little alligator. It's guaranteed to make you laugh. When I'm not making a splash, you'll usually find me carrying around a toy or convincing someone to play a game of tug-of-war. I get along great with other dogs and love having canine friends, but if you ask me what I love most, the answer is easy: people. I'm the definition of a loyal companion. I'll happily rest my big head on your shoulder or in your lap, soaking up all the love you're willing to give. Even though I'm still a puppy (which means I have the occasional silly puppy moment), I'm surprisingly laid-back and easygoing. I'm also working hard on my potty training, and I'm doing a fantastic job! I'm eager to learn and even more eager to make my family proud. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate, water-loving best friend with a heart as big as he is, then I just might be your perfect first mate. All I need now is a family to call my own. Could you be the Captain Hook I've been searching for?

Story
Hello there, I'm Jasper. I'm a big-hearted guy, full of bravery and sweetness. My days are spent making friends, both human and canine. I love playtime, especially my Kong toys! But I'm equally content with quiet moments. I'd be more than willing to join you doing fun stuff together like walking, running or taking a training class. We could "bond"! Life has taught me to be resilient and to always keep my tail wagging. I have so much love to give and I promise to be the best companion. I hope to find a forever home where I can share my love and some sloppy kisses. Adopt me, and let's embark on a beautiful journey together.
