At a handsome 46 pounds, I'm a friendly, neutered guy who is already house-trained and great on a leash, making our daily walks together an absolute breeze. True to my breed I'm an incredibly affectionate companion who loves being close to my people who requires a lot of exercise or a backyard I can run around in and do zoomies. Because I value feeling safe and secure, I’m looking for an adults-only home or one with older children that can provide me with a calm environment. Someone(s) that understand I can be a little nervous when meeting new faces at first, but once I warm up, my loving side shines right through. I also enjoy the company of other dogs! I just need slow, structured introductions to canine pals so we can build a great relationship at a comfortable pace. If you're ready for a rewarding partnership with a wonderful, loyal pup, come meet me and let's start our adventure together! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Amelia is about 4 months old and weighs about 18 lbs. We have no idea on breed mix, but our guess is German Short hair Pointer/Hound - JUST A GUESS. Amelia is a happy, playful and sweet puppy. She is at her happiest when she is sitting in your lap:) Amelia is great with the resident dogs in her foster home. Amelia is doing great with her house training. Amelia sleeps in her crate through the night. Amelia is ready for any adventure and is happy when she has a lap to sit on. Because Amelia is a young puppy, the adopter must be home during the day to continue training and socialization and help the puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog. This puppy has age-appropriate vaccines, is microchipped and will need to be spayed/neuter at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help.
