Story
Hi! I'm Archer, your future best friend. Every day, I'm ready at the door with my favorite toy, hoping today's the day we play together! I'm all about cuddles and games. Imagine us playing fetch or running in the park! I'm friendly and get along great with other dogs, so if you have another pup, that's perfect for me. If you have cats, though, I am not the dog for you. I'm just a goofy, playful buddy looking for a family to share all this love and energy with. I am told I need some training to learn my manners, but hey, what a great way to bond, right? Adopt me, and let's start our adventure together. You bring the love, I'll bring the fun! She loves long hikes, playing with toys and curling up to snuggle with her people. She’ll smother you with kisses and tackle you with hugs, to share the love. Fancy has been overlooked because of her size and strength, but with a little trust she will be the best behaved girl for any family. She’s never met a stranger and loves everyone. Story
Jolie is a very sweet, gentle girl with a heart as big as her smile. One of her favorite things in the world is hearing her favorite volunteer call out “Jo-Leeee!”—the moment she hears it, her face lights up with the happiest grin. It’s impossible not to smile right back.Jolie is attentive, friendly, and wonderfully outgoing. She has a fun, silly side that shows when she’s feeling playful, but she also has a mellow, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to be around. Curious and engaged, she loves exploring her surroundings and truly shines when she’s outside running around and enjoying the fresh air. On walks, Jolie is a star—she walks beautifully on a leash and takes treats gently, savoring every reward. She adores her volunteers and forms sweet, meaningful bonds with the people who care for her. Jolie is looking for a loving family who will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish them in return. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate companion who will bring smiles, laughter, and love into your life, Jolie may be the perfect match for you.

Bonnie-Poodle/Dalmation female DOB 12-31-23 (Feb. 2026) Harlequin Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Bonnie came to Rescue through a Prison Training Program. She's been taking classes every day and doing quite well. She's crate trained, has obedience training, husbandry and grooming skills. As she's been in a Prison, we do not know about children or cats yet, but she will be tested when moved to her foster home. If you want to know about the Dalmadoodle... A Dalmadoodle is a cross between a purebred Dalmatian and a purebred Standard Poodle. This pairing is intentional, not accidental, and is designed to balance: The Dalmatian’s loyalty, athleticism, and alert nature The Standard Poodle’s intelligence, trainability, and often low-shedding coat The result is a dog that is smart, people-focused, active, and deeply bonded to its family. Temperament is one of the biggest reasons families are drawn to Dalmadoodles. They are: Affectionate and people-oriented Intelligent and eager to learn Loyal to their family Alert without being aggressive Playful, but capable of settling with proper routine Dalmadoodles tend to form strong bonds with their owners and do best in homes where they are included in daily life. This is not a breed that thrives when left alone for long periods with little interaction. Because of their intelligence, they do especially well with owners who enjoy training, structure, and engagement. Bonnie's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting her ready for adoption. Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Some dogs come to us with very special needs and BamBam is one of those dogs.  While he is a playful pup full of energy and affection, he is also extremely fearful of the world.  This fear can manifest into making him protective and reactive.  As his anxiety traits present a challenge, a quiet, experienced and patient home is required to address his needs.  He should also be in a home without children or other pets.  Among his many positive qualities, he is quiet, house trained, crate trained, and he will sit nicely and lift his paw for a treat.  He is extremely shy when meeting new people but once BamBam feels comfortable, he will be your loyal companion forever!    **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Story
Meet Star! 🌟 Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. This girl has been through more than most dogs ever should - she was shot, and the bullet went through her jaw and ear. She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesn’t let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She does wonderfully with kids and gets along beautifully with other dogs, but would do best in a feline-free home as her instints may lead her to chase. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. She’s very smart, already knows “sit,” and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. If you’re looking for a dog with a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful spirit, Star is your girl. 💛🐾 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such.
