Story
Hi! I'm Archer, your future best friend. Every day, I'm ready at the door with my favorite toy, hoping today's the day we play together! I'm all about cuddles and games. Imagine us playing fetch or running in the park! I'm friendly and get along great with other dogs, so if you have another pup, that's perfect for me. If you have cats, though, I am not the dog for you. I'm just a goofy, playful buddy looking for a family to share all this love and energy with. I am told I need some training to learn my manners, but hey, what a great way to bond, right? Adopt me, and let's start our adventure together. You bring the love, I'll bring the fun! Story
Jolie is a very sweet, gentle girl with a heart as big as her smile. One of her favorite things in the world is hearing her favorite volunteer call out “Jo-Leeee!”—the moment she hears it, her face lights up with the happiest grin. It’s impossible not to smile right back.Jolie is attentive, friendly, and wonderfully outgoing. She has a fun, silly side that shows when she’s feeling playful, but she also has a mellow, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to be around. Curious and engaged, she loves exploring her surroundings and truly shines when she’s outside running around and enjoying the fresh air. On walks, Jolie is a star—she walks beautifully on a leash and takes treats gently, savoring every reward. She adores her volunteers and forms sweet, meaningful bonds with the people who care for her. Jolie is looking for a loving family who will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish them in return. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate companion who will bring smiles, laughter, and love into your life, Jolie may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Amira is a goofy girl who absolutely loves her people! She’s happiest when she’s right by your side—whether you’re doing chores around the house or settling in for a movie night, she’ll be there keeping you company. Amira does great with other dogs and kids, and she loves playing tug-of-war with her dog friends or proudly carrying a stuffy around like it’s her prized possession. Food is definitely one of her favorite things! When it’s time to eat, she gets so excited she’ll bounce all the way to her kennel like a little bucking bronco. She knows how to sit, and when you ask her to “down,” she’ll happily flop right onto her back. Amira walks on a leash and does well, though she can occasionally get nervous and put on the brakes—but a few treats and some encouragement get her moving again. She’s ready for her forever home and would do great as an only dog or with canine siblings. Amira is just looking for a family to love—and to stick close to forever. Story
Current Location: Midlothian, VA Hello! My name is Jonesy! I arrived to OPH on 2/27 from a shelter in Alabama. This is what they said about me! Jonesy has been waiting for his chance at a home since he was just a tiny puppy. He watched his litter mates and even his mama find their forever families. But Jonesy is still waiting. And he can’t help but wonder… what did I do wrong? The truth is — nothing. Absolutely nothing. Jonesy is a gentle, sensitive soul. The kind of dog who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s not loud. He’s not pushy. He’s not the one jumping up demanding attention. He’s the one sitting nearby, hoping you notice him. ✨ Housetrained ✨ Crate-trained ✨ Good with dogs ✨ Good with cats ✨ Sweet, soft, and submissive He is a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines through. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best with a confident dog friend to help show him the ropes and remind him that the world is a safe place. Jonesy doesn’t need the spotlight. He doesn’t need chaos. He just needs someone to choose him. He has been ready. He has been good. He has been waiting. Now he just needs his turn. My new foster mom in VA has a dog and two cats but she said we are doing slow introductions. I hope they like me. I like playing with toys and give sweet kisses. Please check back soon for more updates on my personality, along with new photos and videos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started!
