Story
Zorro is a handsome, 85 plus-pound, young Doberman (estimated DOB 12/22). He would love a home with an active family (older or no kids) who aren't gone for long periods. Ideal family would have breed experience, who are committed to continue his training, with a yard and a friendly dog buddy to play with. Zorro came to the rescue emaciated, malnourished, with parvo and a damaged eye which had to be removed. He has made an amazing recovery and has turned into a sweet, goofy, energetic boy who is learning how to be part of a family and a pack. Zorro is learning to walk politely on a power loop (halti style) leash. Despite his size he is a polite walking partner. That said he would need a good yard with a secure fence to romp in. And preferably a dog that is fun and playful as well as a good match for his size. He was curious about the cats in his foster home, but will chase if they run. He is doing well with not jumping up on people but small children would not be ideal. Zorro is excelling at working on basic training. He is smart and picking up things quickly. He is potty trained with a good, consistent schedule. He crates well. Zorro wish list 1. Yard with solid fencing. No apartments 2. Obedience training continued. 3. Active family. Daily walks and exercise 4. Another young well balanced playful dog 5. Experience with large powerful breeds preferred. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Meet Silas, a young canine brimming with life and love. This friendly fellow will fill your home with laughter and joy with his goofy antics and playful nature. His energy is infectious, he's always ready for a game of fetch or a brisk walk around the neighborhood. But don't be fooled by his playful demeanor, Silas is also incredibly loyal. He's the kind of dog who will stick by your side, offering comfort and companionship in all of life's moments. He's looking for a family who will appreciate his exuberance and reciprocate his unwavering loyalty. Adopt Silas, and bring home not just a pet, but a devoted friend for life. Silas is still learning his manners and can become mouthy when he is excited. Because of this, we are requiring that any children in his new home be age 10 or older. We will be providing a dog introduction to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home to ensure that Silas will be a good match. A consult with our behavior department will be provided to discuss his individual needs.Adoption Price: $175

Story
Meet Buddy, an adult dog overflowing with energy and intelligence. His vivacious spirit fills the room with joy, and his keen mind keeps him always ready for new challenges. Buddy's loyalty is unwavering, making him the perfect companion for those seeking a steadfast friend. He loves to play, and his smart nature means he's quick to learn new tricks. Whether it's a game of fetch or a puzzle toy, Buddy's enthusiasm is contagious. He's not just a pet, but a loyal friend, a playmate, and a source of endless joy. The adoption of Buddy promises a journey filled with laughter, companionship, and the unique bond only a loyal dog can provide. Adopt Buddy, and welcome a lifetime of love and happiness. Buddy displayed some anxious behaviors in his prior home, so we are requiring that any children in his new home are age 10 or older so they can understand his needs. He is required to have no cats or livestock in his new home. A consult with our management and behavior teams will be provided to discuss his individual needs.Adoption Price: $200
